@bbulutbb8 They could make it unlockable item. So if u reach gold but u like blue knife u can still use blue knife. If u reach gold and fall back down to blue u can still use gold knife to show how high i reached, etc

Reason I said it’s the worst idea ever is that people will be trying to stay in a certain rank to have a stupid knife skin which will ruin the gameplay more than everything. I’m not even talking ab raise in the number of cheaters to have a gold knife…

这是GPT生成的中国海拔地图示意图。 很多历史故事要配上海拔地图和河流才能理解。 比如秦为什么东出统一,三国为什么长期三分,为什么得四川可为一方之主,北方为什么总要入侵南方,黄河为什么总能改写中国历史等等。

@TiagoJo71732740 @Dodorororobo @teulu_dewr the teutonic knights are one of the most larped things online but the last movie to feature them in any significant way is from the 60s. medieval eastern europe is totally ignored in pop culture

@Dodorororobo @teulu_dewr Yeah, the rest of medieval Europe is simply too ignored in popular discourse. For instance, medieval Poland, the Baltics or the Rus’ are almost never talked about in pop culture

@raven__darkness Wouldn't this depend on the particular civilization? In athens their ostracisms were voted on by the assembly rather than any court, and the ostracized were exiled for ten years and allowed to return. Their property was protected in the meantime. Doesnt seem as bad as execution.

@TruthsayingChic @Sarah404BC they mean that homeric greek was not a native spoken language, not that it wasn't intelligible. homeric greek basically uses case forms and vocab taken from a variety of dialects (ionic, doric etc.) all used together to fit metric schemes as needed.

@Sarah404BC Well, apparently we don't have his drafts and the epics were passed through us after generation of copying them by hand where the person writing could adopt or even change things (Church changed and censored a lot). The language existed and it was very much spoken.

Homer's Greek Was Never a Spoken Language, Yet It Lives on in Modern Greek  Analysts argue that Homer‘s language couldn’t have been the native language of an individual speaker and that it must have evolved over an extensive period of time greekreporter.com/2026/04/21/hom…

@SimardPete @DarksaberLight I mean there needed to be some grand conflict, but the fact that the New Republic is the dominant force in the universe, yet the main characters still called themselves The Resistance even though they were essentially doing battle against what amounted to a rogue terror group 1/2

Worst Homeric vocab word of all time: προπροκυλίνδομαι “keep rolling before”. Yes that is the same preverb applied twice to some kind of obscure substrate root. Yes it only appears as a participle. Deal with it.

It's not as hard as people think, myself included, prior to. Chinese grammar is super easy, easier than even English, which is super easy. There is no past or future tense, or past participle. It's just "yesterday I run", "I run", "tomorrow I run". No cases, conjugations or declinations, or even irregular verbs. The only thing that is kind of irregular is the mandatory measure words (one sheet of paper, one glass of water), though you can fake it till you make it with "个“. Yes, and then there is the characters. Sure. So that is the only challenge. But that is visual. You need to learn how to write them with your hand so you can better understand them, but you won't be writing a lot these days anyway, just typing. Tones? Pro-tip? Ignore them. Focus on intonation. That is imitation. Do not try to memorize tones. Learning Mandarin is easier than learning German or French. You just won't have any crutches with Latin roots so first steps are harder.

@hellaclitean No no, I was there, there are Romans of all eras, but the I-II Century ones always take the spot on media. I was personally dressed as an Eastern Roman Limitaneo of the V Century
