@gregbradyTO And like Anthopoulos, we will likely see Dubas have success with a different team. That is the development and learning process even for a GM. He will take what worked/didn’t work in Toronto and apply it somewhere else.

But Dubas 2022/23 had a little bit of a 2015 Alex Anthopoulos vibe to it. Always did. Last year of contract, results had underwhelmed, probably not going to be back - let's go all in to get somewhere this year....and it's so obvious both will/would get gigs elsewhere soon.

As always, two things can be true: 1. All I've spoken to (who would know) will note the organization feels Dubas blindsided them w/ the "I'm burned out, not sure I want to stay, doing this took a toll". 2. He never brings that up if they're still playing hockey right now.

I am the most positive person you’ll find about amateur umpiring. Emails like this are brutal to read. An umpire who went through 15 hours of training, purchased equipment+uniforms has quit after one weekend because of harassment by parents and coaches. This is a societal problem
