@middle_class_us Don't buy a median priced home? Starter homes were once a thing...build equity...upgrade...win.

Why is housing unaffordable? Let me explain. A $400,000 “median” home means: $20k down at 5%. $40k down at 10%. $80k down at 20%. People can’t save that while rent, groceries, and car insurance are on steroids. So we pretend it’s a discipline problem. When it's an economic problem.

Since I’ve always played “Green Onions” when Snitker (and Bobby Cox) walked out to the mound, perhaps I should change it this year for Walt Weiss?

This has been an interesting experiment these last few days to STATE something numerous times (Bill Belichick Deserves to be a 1st Ballot HOFer - it’s a No-Brainer)… then to also try & have a conversation about the integrity of the game being important! Only to have ppl over an over tell me he belongs in, WHICH IS ACTUAL WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING, so agreeing with me, & then telling me I’m bitter about losing a SB to him 25 yrs ago!!! This is absurdly hilarious! It’s exhausting to have ppl continue to argue with you when they are actually arguing FOR, is EXACTLY what you have already said??? Take a deep breath after reading a small portion of what someone said & get all the facts before lashing out - it would help us immensely as a society - don’t just live ready to pounce!

There is absolutely no difference between this play and the Buffalo play. Adams did not make any move. He caught it, secured it as he was tackled and then stripped on the ground. Same exact thing. Same exact. This is why fans hate the NFL refs. No consistency game to game

@SutcliffeDavid @dccommonsense Let's talk about it. The constitutional issue at stake here is the interpretation of the 10th Amendment. 10A bars the federal govt from commandeering states to enforce federal law. ICE can't compel local LE to arrest, detain, or investigate ppl for civil immigration violations.

We are one bad incident...one bad adrenaline-fueled moment from another Boston Massacre or Kent State type occurrence.And there will be cheers from some Americans when that happens. And the Administration will support it and justify it and warn of more to come.Think about that.

Let’s talk about next weekend and the chatter about wintry precipitation. Yes — there is a signal on the long-range data that something could try to line up. And yes — that has people understandably asking questions. But this is also the part of the forecast where expectations matter a lot. When we’re at the edge of 7 days out, we’re not forecasting snow totals or impacts. We’re simply recognizing a pattern that can support winter weather in the Southeast. That’s it. No maps. No inches. No hype. It certainly looks cold and active over the next 2 weeks. As we move into the 5-day window, what I’m watching is whether the signal is trending better or worse. Do more models agree? Is the timing improving? Or does it start falling apart? That trend matters more than any one model run. Inside 3–5 days, we can finally start asking the real questions: • Is it rain, snow, sleet, or ice? • Is the cold air actually there? • Does the timing even line up with the coldest part of the system? And it’s not until 1–3 days out that we can talk about specifics like amounts, locations, and impacts — the stuff people actually care about. Right now, this is firmly in the “possible winter storm” category — with a big emphasis on possible. It’s too early to say whether this would be light, impactful, or even wintry at all in many spots. Long-range guidance is notorious for flipping solutions this far out, especially in the Carolinas, where temperature profiles matter down to a degree or two. Bottom line: ✔️ The pattern supports watching ✔️ Uncertainty is still high ✔️ Details will change — probably multiple times ✔️ No reason to panic or freak out, but also not something to ignore We’re in an active winter pattern, which means we’ll have more opportunities — but also more false alarms along the way. I’ll keep walking this forward step by step and tightening things up as the signal does. Stay tuned, stay flexible, and remember: Long range = awareness, not alarms. #snOMG #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc

@DougKyed Knee, butt, elbow all down with possession + tie goes to the offense, then ball is stripped away. C’mon man. If we wanna do this the Mims TD comes back to. That ball didn’t survive the ground by a millimeter … but they gave it to him. Common sense applied there.

I understand why Bills fans don't want to understand why it's not a catch. They're emotional and invested. It's natural. They're quite literally coping. I genuinely don't understand how anyone who is not a Bills fan does not understand that Cooks didn't survive the ground. It does not matter that for a fraction of a second his knee is down, and he was touched. That's not the rule. The moment he hit the ground, he lost control, and the ball wound up in McMillian's arms.

@LetUsThinkMore @kurt13warner @maplelake13 @JJWatt He's not down by contact. He's not a runner yet. When catching a ball in the air and immediately falling to the ground, you are not a runner. To become a runner, catch + 2 feet down + football move. No football move. Meaning he has to survive the ground

Here’s my question on this play: We have all these rules for what constitutes a catch: Must make a football move, must survive the ground, must take a third step, etc. In this instance, if the Denver defender didn’t come up with the ball and it ended up the ground instead, it would have pretty clearly been ruled incomplete, not a fumble. Right?

@DeanMichaelOwen @davepl1968 Very simple answer - if you live next door to me and you don't maintain your property it impacts my property value as when I go to sell, prospective buyers may not want to live next door to the house with cars on blocks in the front yard.

@davepl1968 So…how are you being affected if someone parks their jet skis in the driveway? In kindergarten I learned to not lose my five year old mind about what other kids looked like, or the clothes they wore, or where they came from.

HOAs are usually a mechanism for enforcing common sense rules on the people who failed to learn them in kindergarten. "Billy? Will you clean up your toys on the lawn? And park your jet skis INSIDE the garage please? Then we can have juice!"
