@WizardPicks Very smart move in my mind. For the health and well being of humans and horses. I play Senior softball and our games this week were cancelled. Excessive heat spells disaster with athletic events. I get it....possibly lose 2 racing days to do the right thing? Answer....YES

Cancelled Monmouth for Friday. Colonial moved their first post to 10:30 AM. I'm less than a mile from the track at Saratoga and it's 11:30 AM and very hot. It will only get hotter through Saturday. My suggestion to NYRA: Move Saturday's card to Sunday, Friday's card to Monday and Sunday's card to next Wednesday which would make it a 5 day week. Just a thought as an alternative to moving up post times.

There are people in every Sport where you know it’s not a question of ‘If’ they’ll make it to the proverbial ‘Mountaintop’, but rather ‘when ?’. @reredevaux has been that person in Horse Racing. Winning @KentuckyDerby 152 was not a surprise for those who know her, and anyone watching her career closely. What is surprising, is how relatively soon it happened in the arc of her training career. I first met @DonnaBBrothers when I started my Horse Racing career @CanterburyPark Her talent as a Jockey was obvious, I particularly loved her pairing with legendary North Dakota bred Hoist Her Flag. However, it was getting to know Donna off the track, including working with her on shows at TVG where I was a fan and friend for Life. She has represented the best of our Industry and always given her best. Taking the mantle from the legendary Charlsie Cantey was a tall task, she not only succeeded, she continued to elevate the standard for the role. I’m not only immensely grateful for what she has done @NBCSports and her many roles in Horse Racing, I will always be immeasurably thankful she is my friend. Congratulations Donna, and enjoy every moment of this final ride @KentuckyDerby 🤓
