The Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. ✅🗳️🍑 If you haven’t voted already, there are 3 days left to vote: Thursday 5/14, Friday 5/15, and Tuesday, May 19th. These judge seats are ONLY on this ballot in May. 🚨 MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE

If you are 18-39, PAY ATTENTION! Y’all are a larger group than baby boomers and Gen Xers. Y’all complain about older people in politics. But look at what Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs posted. Of the 696,353 people that have voted early in Georgia, only 9.8% are 18-39. That is abysmal. You can’t change the system if you never show up at the ballot box. Expressing anger on Threads, IG, TikTok, Twitter and Snapchat ain’t it. Let’s go 18-39 folks!

Atlanta got 6 major cities & all 6 of them have been having a boom in population. They just so happen to be in places with large blue leaning districts. 1 of the main reasons they're saying Georgia been purple.

Breaking: Gov. Kemp has called state lawmakers for a special session on June 17 to reshape both how Georgians vote and to redraw the state’s political maps after last month’s U.S. Supreme Court decision for the 2028 election. #gapol ajc.com/politics/2026/…

In this clip, Speaker Johnson says maps that gave Black voters representation "divided Americans." This is the exact language used by segregationists and opponents of the Civil Rights movement to attack figures like MLK. They are using the same playbook to destroy his legacy.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Mike Johnson defends egregiously gerrymandered maps like the new one in Tennessee, but then in the very next breath claims the Virginia map that was struck down "was a hastily drawn gerrymander that was unconstitutional"

One of the arguments I have against the “we full” thing in Atlanta is that it’s mostly Black people moving This many concentration of Black people has led to an overall net gain of expanded political access nationwide as Georgia has went from Red to purple and likely blue
Ronald Brownstein@RonBrownstein

As GA prepares, in all likelihood, to erase Black-held Congressional seats, your regular reminder that ALL of the state's population growth since 2010 has been from non-White residents. GA's White population was 50k lower in 2023 than 2010 per @Prof_MPastor. Same in Louisiana

Remarkably heavy turnout from Democrats in Georgia today. Today alone, roughly 50,000 people went to vote in the Democratic primary, while roughly 35,500 voted in the GOP primary. (1300 just voted in the nonpartisan races.) That's a Dem turnout advantage of 16.5 % points today.

Across the South, Governors are showing us exactly what they fear most: the power of our voices. From attacks on voting rights to efforts to silence communities, the message is clear. But our response must be louder, stronger, and organized. We will not be silenced. We will mobilize, vote, and fight for justice in every statehouse and every ballot box. #gapol

As a former walk-on football player at an SEC school I wholeheartedly support this🤷🏾‍♂️. We have to hit them in their pocket books or else they won’t understand. Unfortunately many parents hungry for NIL checks will ignore this power move tho
Wendell Pierce@WendellPierce

BOYCOTT the SEC: the Southeastern Conference supports the GOP effort the strip Black voters of their rights. 56% of all players in the SEC are Black. Generating BILLIONS to these institutions. BLACK ATHLETES SHOULD TRANSFER AND DECOMMIT. Boycott Games.

In Atlanta last month, we asked local leaders what a #GoodLife means to them. Their answers were clear: Affordable and quality housing. Access to healthcare. Jobs with dignity. And above all: more time with family and less time stretched thin trying to make everything work. 📹

Veto Day could get messy. One lawmaker predicted a “bloodbath.” Another warned of a “fiscal massacre.” Gov. Kemp will ink Georgia’s budget today, the final day he can sign bills into law. But the real suspense is what he plans to cut. #gapol ajc.com/politics/2026/…
