@MarkInSavannah1 @DefiantLs It's strange for sure. When there's much fear put out there about these bridges falling, usually from poor maintenance, I can understand how one can become overwhelmed. My fear wasn't exaggerated outward as hers because my children were present - but that's how I felt inside.

@bmccul3 @DefiantLs I've also experienced something similar when doing 5Ks over the Talmadge Bridge that spans the Savannah river here. It is not a very comforting feeling for sure and is a big motivating factor to pick up the pace until I'm off the damn thing.

@MarkInSavannah1 @DefiantLs I've been over thousands of times, no problem. It came on suddenly one day w/o warning. Had to roll down all windows and made children unbuckle. Went on for a while until I finally tackled it. In FL you usually need to be able to cross bridges to get home. Can be debilitating.

@DefiantLs The fear of driving over bridges is real. My best buddy's sister-in-law has the same fear, known as gephyrophobia, and let me tell you. I witnessed this fear first hand and while we think it irrational and childish, it was an all consuming fear that scared the hell out of us.

My daughter was also pregnant ( an ivf baby) she had been trying for 10 years! She refused the shot. I was petrified until that baby was born. I was afraid she’d get Covid ( I never believed in the vax) I didn’t think my daughter could survive a loss of her baby. She is a teacher. She was threatened. They forced her to mask. At a doctor’s appointment her oxygen was too low for a pregnancy! She forced the school to allow an open clear shield for her face! She had a doctor’s order. That was a war! She had a beautiful healthy baby girl. The miracle baby. I’m so proud of her. (No vaxes for baby either).
