The absolute worst part about this play is that if Mayo even attempts to tag the runner, he’s likely out. All it takes to be ruled out of the baseline is an attempt by the fielder to tag you. That’s it.

@jarvis_best I'm not fond of anti-cruise bias. I was somewhat in that camp, but was "bribed" a few years ago to try cruising. They're not my favorite vacation, but they're fine. I fully understand their appeal when service and prices in US hotels and restaurants are unattractive.

@SALES_720 Both teams typically get a cut from neutral site games no matter who’s home game it was. This is from ticket allotments and from sponsors/venue.

Ton of respect for Coby’s effort and how he’s tried to approach this challenge. But the Orioles have known since last season he’s not a big league third baseman. He’s in a tough spot, and the team has left him there too long.

@kylegoon This is the manager fault. He pinch run for Jackson with alexander. So in the bottom of the ninth instead of subbing mayo with alexander for defenses, he didn't have no one left on the bench to play second base. So this is on alby.

The Coby Mayo experiment is over with, has been over for months. Need a major league 3rd baseman, not a “AAA Hall of Famer” Sick of losing games due to immature and inferior defensive play from these organization “trophy boys”

@KenWeinmanSport He seems like he swings out of his shoes everytime instead of taking a nice even swing. His bat path is the same no matter where the pitch is. He doesn’t appear to the have the ability to make any mid swing adjustments. If the ball isn’t where his bat swings, he misses every time

Coby Mayo is not a Major League Baseball player. Can’t hit good pitching. Subpar fielder, Maybe he gets there one day but at this point I’m far from confident

@KenWeinmanSport The only way he’s going to learn to hit mlb pitching is to play. This team is going nowhere this year (same as last year). Let him play 3rd every day and see what he is after getting 500 mlb at bats in a year. Wilson and Blaze don’t need to get ABs

Coby Mayo can't play. The opportunity to get any return in a trade is gone. At this point, if they move him for a bag of balls and he flourishes somewhere else, that is acceptable. What is not acceptable is his clogging up the lineup (can't hit, slow, no defense). #orioles
