Iran has been five seconds away from getting a nuclear weapon since before I was even born and that's a long fucking time. But out of every President who heard this, Trump was the only one who fell for it.

If nothing else, the past few months have cast a bright light on an ugly reality for the world to witness. Iran has silenced and killed its own citizens, thousands of unarmed protesters. Iran has lashed out and attacked all of its neighbors, 12 countries. Iran has intentionally attacked civilian sites, hotels, airports, over 100 to date. Iran has held the entire world hostage by shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, a UN-designated international waterway. Some may call this a "war of choice." But what else does the world need to see? If nothing else, Iran's response proves that the prevailing Iranian situation was indeed untenable and that intervention was necessary. What may not have been clear to the world before should be clear now. Only by ethical desertion can a person or country support the undisturbed bloom of this revealed reality.
