Again, not dogging the Knicks. At all. Or Brunson, who is fantastic and excelled in the Finals. But is this much of the case for Top 50 really that he’s just shorter? And the Knicks are a historically less successful franchise? Doesn’t pass the big market bias smell test to me.

I ask not as a bitter Spurs fan. Genuinely happy for the Knicks. But saying this launched Brunson into Top 50 All Time feels prisoner of the moment. Just based on career accomplishments and accolades, why is Brunson’s case stronger than, say, Chauncey’s after the 04 title + FMVP?
