@T_T_Sprinkles @mcuban I participated in an event at the White House in 1994 when the Clintons were pushing for universal healthcare - and the Repubs blocked it (of course). So by my tally we've been going through 30+ years of stupid GOP ideas (or lack of any ideas at all) so far.

@mcuban The end result will be some variant of Universal Healthcare like every other country, it's just a question how many stupid republicans ideas we have to work through to get there.

This is dumb. Really dumb. Really Really Dumb. Why? Because when you give it to Ins Carriers under the ACA, they have to spend at least 85pct of it on care for plan holders. When sent to people's HSAs, there is no assurance that the money will be spent on healthcare costs at all. A recipient can save the money and take it out when they turn 65. MORE LIKELY , people will get that HSA cash, immediately take it out, pay the 20 pct penalty and buy whatever they want So your tax dollars could be throwing parties ! Does this mean I like the subsidies going to the big insurance carriers ? No. It means there are better ways to do this. Whatever we do, taxpayer money HAS TO GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS PAYING or Guaranteeing NECESSARY MEDICAL CARE. Sending money to people's HSAs is really dumb

BREAKING: Trump just blamed the video of people throwing items out of the White House Windows on AI. Problem: The White House has already said that the video was legitimate, claiming, "It was a contractor who was doing regular maintenance while the President was gone." Why is Trump LYING?

@saquon Respect must be earned, and Trump has done nothing to earn it (or to show he has any respect for the office). Respecting a title blindly regardless of how awful the person holding it is would be crazy.

I just toured the CECOT prison in El Salvador. This maximum security facility houses the country’s most brutal criminals, including murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and terrorists. Several inmates were extremely violent criminals recently deported from the U.S. I leave now even more determined to support President Trump’s efforts to secure our homeland.

I need to vent for a moment. Just got back in contact with one of my best friends from high school a few months ago after about 20 years. Everything has been going along fine, and we have been trying to make plans to get together finally. However, I found out today that he is a major Trump supporter. I am crushed. I mean, what in the actual fuck am I supposed to do now? He wants to make it seem like we can still be friends with political differences. But here's the deal - that's now a dealbreaker for me. Family, friend or otherwise. I'm not interested in being understanding anymore. Fuck that. I already tried that for years now. So, I really don't know what to do. Feeling disheartened and confused.

@acnewsitics So many Trumpers seem to think they're special and will be protected. That he won't come for *their* Medicaid, SNAP, disability benefits, Social Security, etc. Even some immigrants in my family believe he won't come for people with *their* immigration status. Mind-boggling.
