The Gospel isn’t about Jesus being your pal. It’s about the Son of God crucifying the old man in you and raising you to new life. Grace doesn’t coddle. It converts.

In Hebrews 11 and 12 it lists a number of Old Testament saints and then says we ARE surrounded by a "cloud of witnesses". That is happening here and now. You're hung up on the future events

It would help to see when the events in the Book of Revelation takes place. In chapter 1:10, you'll see, "I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day." This is not Sunday, but is the time after the return of Christ for the believers. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 ESV [2] For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
