@DailyNoahNews @Sienieczka @ATradCatholic That's what the pagans in Jeremiah called their false goddess, Astoreth. Catholics don't believe Mary is a goddess made of wood. Instead we believe she is the woman crowned in heaven in Rev 12 and the mother of the Davidic King, Jesus. Davidic king's mothers were the Queen.

Protestants often talk about Jesus like He’s their buddy pushing them on the swings and cheering them on. But Our Lord didn’t come to be “nice.” He didn’t come to affirm us as we are. He came to save us, judge sin, redeem the world, and make us new men. As Venerable Fulton J. Sheen taught, Christ did not come to take away the Cross He came to teach us how to carry it. The Gospel isn’t about Jesus being your pal. It’s about the Son of God crucifying the old man in you and raising you to new life. Grace doesn’t coddle. It converts.

@LateHaveILoved @dots_choco @MLFootball Exactly! "Heretics abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the Flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ." St. Ignatius of Antioch, "Epistle to the Smyrneans," c. 105 A.D.

POWERFUL: Indiana star quarterback Fernando Mendoza on Christmas Eve brought the Heisman Trophy to the local priests at the church in an Amazon box. “We walked out and there, in an Amazon box, there was the Heisman Trophy” This kid is truly special 👏🙏

Given that Penn State appears to have an almost nonexistent 2026 high school recruiting class, how many players do you expect them to acquire from the Transfer Portal? Remember, rosters now have 105 scholarship positions (up from 85 last year)

@bobbyG14 @tolepainter56 @Cath0licP0dcast Not exactly. The end of the Hebrews chapter you're referring to says, "These all died..." It doesn't say, "They're up there praying for us." Proverbs 30:6 ESV [6] Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

@bobbyG14 @overbey_ta86135 @Cath0licP0dcast Sure you did. Friends here on earth pray for us as that is what we are called to do. It builds up our faith as we pray for one another. Saints in heaven have no need to build up their faith. 🙄

@bobbyG14 @overbey_ta86135 @Cath0licP0dcast Hebrews 11 & 12 have nothing to do with saints surrounding us now. Paul was speaking of the men of faith that by looking at their lives in Scripture, we are to be learning from to build our faith, not someone watching us from heaven. 🙄

@overbey_ta86135 @tolepainter56 @Cath0licP0dcast All I'm pointing out is the souls in heaven are capable of seeing what is going on here. In Hebrews 11 and 12 it lists a number of Old Testament saints and then says we ARE surrounded by a "cloud of witnesses". That is happening here and now. You're hung up on the future events

It would help to see when the events in the Book of Revelation takes place. In chapter 1:10, you'll see, "I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day." This is not Sunday, but is the time after the return of Christ for the believers. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 ESV [2] For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
