This doesn't seem right. NYC housing production surged after Mandatory Inclusionary Housing went into effect in 2016. Upzoning+IZ+tax abatements has been a successful formula in lots of neighborhoods. It's not a perfect policy but it's certainly not a failure.

@ColeSandick I'm not crazy about Steyer, but he is very pro housing, and that is California's #1 issue. I'm afraid Swawell (allegations aside) would just be another Nimby, complacent California democrat who is all advocacy-speak and no substance (like Karen Bass).

Impossible for me not to believe this after years of rumors and anecdotes about this guy being a sex pest. Great news for the left as we get much closer to a Steyer nomination and for the Dems who get further away from the nightmare jungle primary scenario if Swalwell collapses.
