Systemic indeed, but I don’t think what we’re witnessing can be described as simply as, “stupidity”. If I’ve learned nothing else over the past eight years of the Trump-Era, it’s that there is absolutely no correlation between academic, engineering, scientific, or mathematical aptitude, business acumen, or musical genius - and wisdom. My theory is that America suffers from an epidemic of a generationally inherited, self-assigned, and false sense of entitlement, handed down from narcissistic ancestors who unapologetically built America on stolen land and human and environmental genocide. Their descendants from every corner of America, and passed-down through every generation, are taught bigotry from birth, and neither recognize, nor accept any version of life without social superiority and privilege.

@SenTuberville We lost our country the minute the Supreme Court decided to give Donald Trump dictatorial power, and he surrounded himself with unqualified walking-disasters like you, who don’t even understand, much-less believe in the fundamental values of America.

Democrats can deny it all they want, but here’s the truth: Illegal aliens and foreign nationals are voting in U.S. elections. We MUST protect our election integrity. We must pass the SAVE Act, before we lose our country.

16 years ago today, the Supreme Court erased the limit on how much the wealthy and big corporations could pump into elections. Since Citizens United, we've seen billions of dollars of dark money drowning out the voice of American voters. I introduced a Constitutional amendment to overturn this decision and put political power where it belongs: with the American people.

I support a constitutional amendment to limit the presidential pardon power because it is being abused to protect powerful insiders, not correct injustice. Trump has pardoned an unprecedented number of wealthy fraudsters and allies, wiping away accountability and restitution owed to victims. That corrodes the rule of law and sends a dangerous message that justice is optional for the well connected. nbcnews.com/politics/trump…

Daddy is definitely home. @realDonaldTrump is the Advocate for America I have waited for my entire life. He makes Reagan look a bit wishy washy. What he said in Davos today was the most powerful speech perhaps ever given by a president to the world. He said it with love for Europe (multiple times) but with clarity that peeled paint off the walls all across Europe and the world. NOW? He announces a deal for Greenland hours later? THE ENTIRE WH TEAM IS EPIC. @SecRubio @SecScottBessent @VP. Now come home and clean up MN, NY and CA. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

In 1838, a young Abraham Lincoln warned that America’s survival would depend on whether each generation treated our founding principles as a shared civic faith — not just words in a history book. He understood that what we teach the next generation becomes the government they build. Renewal doesn’t come from rejecting our past — it comes from acknowledging it, good and bad, and from RECOMMITTING to the foundations that made us strong.

The Trump administration, of which you are a representative, is the most amoral and un-Christian-like in American history. If you were the benevolent follower of Jesus you claim to be, you would have stepped away long ago. But you didn’t, because you’re a fake-Christian and political performer who stands idly by while the administration you represent violates civil and human rights, and threatens to take control of other nations against international law, thus jeopardizing the safety of the entire world. You’re a moral coward, who in no way represents the teachings of Jesus.

Our founders built this nation on a simple truth: EVERY PERSON is made in the image of God, with equal dignity and God-given rights — NOT rights handed out by government. But history is clear: when societies lose their moral foundation, freedom collapses and nations fall. Faith and morality aren’t optional — they are ESSENTIAL to preserving liberty.

Every day, for the prior 4 years under the Biden Administration, our country was mass invaded and forcibly occupied by illegal aliens. Innocent American children were raped, mutilated and murdered. Entire towns (Springfield, Columbus, Eu Claire) were resettled. Entire neighborhoods were turned into refugee camps. Entire communities were transformed. Schools and medical systems ravaged. The treasury raided. Walkable communities made unlivable. Family parks made into crime scenes. Communities scarred, besieged. These are incomparable crimes against nation and citizen. Yet, not one day in that long and brutal nightmare did the corrupt press show one tiny microscopic fraction of the outrage they now hurl at the brave HEROES courageously reversing this invasion in the face of unceasing far-left assault. That is because the corrupt press is a key instrument in the Left’s quest for national dissolution.

Because X is committed to conflict, you’re in my feed a lot, and being far more liberal, I’m typically on the other side of most your arguments. In this case though, I find myself relating to your opinion quite strongly. It’s very common for me to encounter people on the left with whom I share most views, as well as some on the right with whom I share very little, who seem to have an unhealthy relationship with the full emotional spectrum. That is, aggression, anger, or even assertion, expressed in any degree or fashion above the verbal volume or tone of innocuous conversation, is frowned upon as if some kind of biological affliction. We saw this personified in real-time when Jeb Bush allowed himself to be eviscerated and his career ended by Donald Trump in front of the entire world during the 2016 presidential debates, because he doesn’t believe in-kind retaliation is appropriate behavior for a politician. I guess it’s in the rulebook. Regardless, like you, I find this perspective problematic for anyone, and distrust anyone who never gets angry. Turn the other cheek is OK once – but if you’re being badgered, everyone should have the wherewithal to defend themselves by any means necessary. Anything else is an excuse, or as you say, an act of cowardice. Passion promotes intensity, intensity promotes anger, and tempered anger is a legitimate and healthy form of expression, that used appropriately can increase the effectiveness of your method of communication. I often say, if you never get angry about anything, you don’t care about anything, and if you don’t care about anything, how do you maintain an identity, or sense of purpose?

We just started going back to church, so I want to say this carefully, because I’m fully aware I could be missing something... …but I’ve been feeling very frustrated with, what I perceive to be, a lack of passion for the truth in the church In a recent sermons, someone said something like, “Hurting people with our words is wrong and we shouldn’t do that.” Not “don’t be unnecessarily cruel…” which I agree with. It’s more like… “don’t make anyone feel bad.” Which is NOT the same thing, and frankly… I don’t know if that’s even possible. And I definitely don’t know if that’s what we should be trying to prioritize right now… people’s FEELINGS, of all things. Because if “hurting someone’s feelings” becomes the standard, then truth is AUTOMATICALLY in trouble. So what is the Christian church actually going for, here? That my responsibility is to protect your emotional comfort… even if it requires me to stay silent while you live a lie? Because I firmly believe the opposite. Lying to someone is wrong, BUT ALSO allowing someone to keep believing a lie is wrong. I guess the point I’m trying to get at here is that I feel like a lot of what gets called “kindness” right now is just fear of conflict, or put another way, I feel like kindness is used as a shield for Christians to be passive. “I’m not perfect, therefore I won’t correct anyone.” “I’m not God, therefore I won’t say anything.” “I might make a mistake, so I’ll stay out of it.” What on earth do you think that creates? It creates a world where nobody with a conscience says anything out loud, a bunch of people walking around confusing their kindness with pure cowardice. Honestly, I just feel alone in the fight. What happens when all the “good” people decide the holiest thing they can do is stay quiet because a pastor is telling them to be terrified to speak up for fear of being called “unloving”? WAKE UP!!!!! The Left is shaping kids right now and THEY ARE NOT SHY ABOUT IT!!! They’re loud and absolutely relentless. They’re also ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. In the schools, entertainment, social media, sports, corporations, and institutions that used to at least pretend to be neutral. Their messaging is constant, aggressive…AND it’s framed as pure, holy, morality! So… what’s going on with the Christian church these days? Is your highest moral principle really, “no one should ever feel uncomfortable”???? Sorry for the long rant here, I just feel, like I said before, strangely alone in it. As if I’m the problem for believing that truth matters more than feelings… like wanting to speak out against something that is wrong is somehow “unChristian” of me if it gets others angry, upset, or threatening… TOWARDS ME. Maybe I’ve got this wrong and I’m open to hearing it, but in general, I feel alone in this.
