I had an issue at @CineplexMovies so sent an email to guest services. Received an auto-generated case number but have never gotten a reply. I followed up at 2 weeks and again at 4 weeks. Anyone have ideas how to get an actual response from this company?

It was wonderful to see one of Nova Scotia’s finest public servants in Ottawa on his way to the @NACOCanada summit, Senior Corporate Advisor with @InvestNS_ , @bobpelley gave me an inspiring briefing of the development of angel investment networks across NS! I was honoured to be able to introduce Bob to another phenomenal public servant, Mr Greg Peters the Usher of the Black Rod.

@Bigley @CBmesonet If they do the work before the storm it come from maintenance budget; after the storm when it interrupts power it comes from the storm response budget.

Power lines arcing in downtown Dartmouth as an elm tree leans further with each gust. Power just went out. #NSStorm #nswx #Lee

Unsung hero of ⁦@cbuniversity⁩ Darlene retires today after 37 years of housekeeping at CBU. Darlene was one of a handful of cleaners who worked straight through the entire pandemic. Part cleaner, part social worker, part weather forecaster, full time great person!

@girdley Agree! If you’re a new manager or have a new employee joining how do you go about setting this up? How do you recommend setting the stage and putting it in motion?

A hill I’ll die on: Unless you do regular 1-1s with your employees, you are not a great manager. (No matter what you tell yourself.)

Research from @startupgenome demonstrates that startups with high "Local Connectedness" see 2.1x faster revenue growth versus those with low Local Connectedness. We've got this Nova Scotia! #startupeast

@DStrachman The act of reflection will help significantly. Four steps involved: 1) what did you do, 2) what went well, 3) what didn’t go so well, 4) what would you do differently next time.

Anyone have suggestions on processes/reflection exercises for when things end? I've had some incredible conversations with founders lately around the end and post end (1.5 - 2 years later) of their companies and wondering about how to to turn that into a process at 1517.

@Masterofwhine What’s even worse is when there are springs in the faucets so they can’t be left open. Often found in public places like restaurants and airports. It’s the worst!
