Quebec media COMPLETELY ignored me for decades, and were almost fully silent when the Quebec intelligentsia made me public enemy #1 because I made a joke about the French-Canadian accent on the @joerogan show. But now, they all wish to invite me for chats to discuss the problem of immigration in Quebec. Well, well. I've apparently gone from an ingrate immigrant because of my "linguistic genocide" but now I'm a hero protecting Quebec's secularism. How quickly one's status changes, eh?

I simply don't believe that Jews are a uniquely persecuted victim group, being "purged" from western power centers like business, media, entertainment politics. It's laughable.
Those who get angriest about this spent years mocking victimhood narratives from every other group.

Glenn and I used to be friendly. I once interviewed him on stage in Ottawa, liked him and admired his work on the Snowden story. To shrug off a wave of bigotry and the widely-felt concerns of a minority, on such a petty basis, is beneath the morals of the guy I thought he was.

I wrote the words below in April, about the UK left, and I'm retweeting them today for the benefit of some of the numbskulls in my mentions.
Women like me, and there are a lot of us, aren't and never have been far-right. We simply want the left to wake the hell up, because we're watching it do its utmost to alienate people it used to represent.
I'm not saying Trump's win was down to the gender stuff - I'm not an American voter, so can't judge. In any case, the Labour Party won the last UK election and they've embraced gender identity ideology whole-heartedly (although they won against a Tory government so enfeebled and unpopular it would have been miraculous if they hadn't, and their popularity since gaining office has plummeted.)
What I do know is that millions of women in the UK and across the developed world are extremely angry about men in women's sport, men in women's jails and the erosion of single-sex spaces. Parents are angry at being demonised because they don't want their troubled kids to undergo irreversible medical treatments of extremely questionable benefit. People are sick to the back teeth of being bullied and threatened for refusing to embrace an elitist, academia-generated ideology that's having severe real world consequences.
Large swathes of the left continue to be threatening and abusive to anybody who resists their attempts to impose ideological language or bully them out of wrongthink. Leftist activists jeer and sneer at erstwhile female allies for the crime of believing biological sex is real and matters. And leftist leaders still appear more interested in sucking up to gender activists than - to take a topical example in the UK - female nurses whose crime is not wanting to undress in front of a fully intact male.
So to those screaming 'bigot' and 'fascist' at me, you should know two things. Firstly, I'm completely indifferent to your disapproval, as I'd have thought you'd have realised by now. Secondly, and far more importantly, the only thing more harmful to your cause than your pseudo-religious belief in gender identities is your astounding, self-righteous arrogance.

So you want to mock Islam the way you mocked Christ. Well, you can't, John. You can't always get what you want. You still, to this day, do not understand. You were not allowed to mock Christ because of what the law said. You were allowed to mock Christ because Christianity permits this. Islam does not permit you to mock Muhammad or Allah. If you do, Muslims will kill you. And it doesn't matter if the law says you can, because they will not follow the law. They will follow Islam. Your society cannot simultaneous have Muslims and freedom of speech. These two things are fundamentally incompatible. You can either have freedom of speech because you have no Muslims, or no freedom of speech because you have Muslims. When are you going to realize that "Life of Brian" couldn't be made today, and that it couldn't made today partially because of the cultural influence of people like you? When are going to realize that you spent your entire career deconstructing the very things that allowed you to have a career at all? We, the younger generations of Western Civilization, are in an existential crisis that you had a hand in. And we realize that you are starting to wake up, that empirical knowledge is starting to permeate through your thick boomer skull. But there are so many preconceptions in there that we simply don't have time for the process to complete. Which means that we are going to have to simply ignore you, shut you out of the conversation, and let you catch up, if you ever do, after we have already moved on ahead. That's a sad moment for me, because you made me laugh as a child. Rather a lot. But I have come to realize that the ability to spot and lampoon the ridiculous does not necessarily translate to the ability to understand Chesterton's Fence.
