@Myrdm Wow, so this exists too? Only thane is remaining Who knows, they might also start from Kalyan, then Kasara, then Igatpuri. In future, Parel Terminus, Thakurli terminus.

With this logic, let all UP Bihar bound trains end before Kalyan. There will be no traffic coming in from North so preference could be given to trains incoming from Konkan. This will vastly help reduce delays. Let's do it @Central_Railway @drmmumbaicr

Ratnagiri and Gorakhpur-- Central Railway explains So, here’s the exact operational issue that has been faced by Central Railway Mumbai while operating the Dadar-Ratnagiri train. When the Konkan side train enters or leaves merging into the Mumbai suburban railway near Diva or Vidyavihar, it detains about six local trains (nearly three from either side Up & Down). This affects the punctuality in Mumbai, which is already at a low due to various reasons. There is no problem operating trains that go ahead to Nagpur or Pune and hence the Gorakhpur train will not interfere with the suburban system in any way. मुंबईतील सेंट्रल रेल्वेला दादर–रत्नागिरी ट्रेन चालवताना एक विशिष्ट ऑपरेशनल अडचण येते. कोंकणकडून येणारी ही ट्रेन दिवा किंवा विद्याविहारजवळ मुंबईच्या उपनगरीय रेल्वे मार्गात प्रवेश करते किंवा बाहेर पडते, तेव्हा त्या वेळी सुमारे सहा लोकल गाड्या (अप आणि डाउन दोन्ही बाजूंनी सुमारे तीन-तीन) थांबवाव्या लागतात. यामुळे मुंबईच्या लोकल सेवेच्या वेळपालनावर परिणाम होतो, जे आधीच विविध कारणांमुळे कमी आहे. मात्र नागपूर किंवा पुण्याकडे पुढे जाणाऱ्या गाड्यांच्या ऑपरेशनमध्ये अशी कोणतीही अडचण येत नाही. त्यामुळे गोरखपूर ट्रेनमुळे मुंबईच्या उपनगरीय रेल्वे प्रणालीवर कोणताही परिणाम होणार नाही.

Railway Minister sanctioned 250 crores for the new railway station between Thane and Mulund. A proposal has been sent to the Railway board for approval. MP Naresh Mhaske demands to name the station after Dharmaveer Anand Dighe. Work to start soon.
