@BellaLoveNote@DiscussingFilm I don't think all movies need diversity, especially when it's taking place in a time or place that it wouldn't make sense, (like Matt Damon on the great wall), i like that the mew Moana and lilo and stitch keep it real, but i love this actors, high hopes for this movie.
The Disney TANGLED live action movie might be my least anticipated live action film.
But with the addition of Diego Luna and Kathryn Hahn I feel it could have something special.
I’m also really happy to see some diversity in the cast with Luna, and hope there’s more to come.

@n_ndwaynen_n@Poqzi@DiscussingFilm I think you were expecting a steady progression, but its not a linear story, it jumps in at times and if you're doing something else while watching it's easy to get lost. Know this season is built up, the next two seasons are gonna be it's climax.
@Poqzi@DiscussingFilm The gojo stuff threw me off a bit in season 2. I know the world loves him but I was super interested in yuji. I shall try to keep the focus off yuji, maybe that would change my opinion on it 👏
The Marvel Cinematic Universe often gets the credit for revolutionizing the art of the Hollywood mega-franchise—but the “Fast and the Furious” canon is just as influential. newyorker.com/books/under-re…

An anonymous Marvel Studios visual development team member has claimed that AI was used for some MCU projects.
“I don’t know if Marvel ever declared that or not, but a lot of them were using it. Not the visual development team, but the other teams that would come in, like the art departments and stuff, or the costume designers. They were already using it.”

@bhasinanant@DiscussingFilm What flops, the fantastic four did very well, dare davil, is Deadpool and Wolverine did awesome, Thunderbolts did surprising you well, captain Americans underperformed I'll give you that one, but Disney isn't losing money.
@DiscussingFilm As much as it sucks, I can see the possible why's.
They might actually want to make visually diverse movies finally, so having fresh teams makes sense.
Let's hope this turns out to be a good change instead of a huge own goal.
Disney has laid off nearly the entire visual development team at Marvel Studios.
Only a skeleton crew remains in place to coordinate hiring on a per-project basis.

"Shaman King" creator Hiroyuki Takei new Occult Mecha Battle Manga "JURO" Vol 1
Sci-Fi Battle set in a futuristic world where spirits exist. A boy steers a Shaman Robot to fight evil spirits.
@AdamInHTownTX@Variety Ok, so you're point is more Monopoly is better? Look at the price hikes we keep getting, we have laws for this, moreover this is clearly a conflict of interest.
Pedro Pascal and Florence Pugh are the latest actors to condemn Paramount buying Warner Bros. in an open letter that's now been signed by more than 2,000 Hollywood names.
"We are deeply concerned by indications of support for this merger that prioritize the interests of a small group of powerful stakeholders over the broader public good. The integrity, independence, and diversity of our industry would be grievously compromised," read the letter. "Competition is essential for a healthy economy and a healthy democracy. So is thoughtful regulation and enforcement. Media consolidation has already weakened one of America's most vital global industries—one that has long shaped culture and connected people around the world."

@SudosMom@battch22@Variety I don't follow the industry ether, but we're talking, game of thrones, the mandalorian, a not do great Wonder movie, fantastic four, the last of us, gladiator, than one meme with Nicolas Cage, etc, if you're that unconnected, what's the point on commenting on this topic?
@darknessking089@sandman_AP One piece only became popular once the other two finished, Naruto was always more popular, and bleach didn't fall too far behind, OP fans were a joke until like 2014, if i had to guess the pacing before the time skip. However, they're both authors of The Big Three, plenty popular
In 2021, Oda sent a celebration message to Tite Kubo, Bleach mangaka. Oda: Years ago, Kubo went on the radio and openly said, “I hate Oda.🥺” So, do I hold a grudge against Kubo? Yeah, I do. That said, his comment didn’t strike me as particularly rude. In fact, I don’t dislike him. If anything, I kind of respect the audacity it took to say something like that in public.🥰
I remember reading Kubo’s debut manga. We’re around the same age, after all. My first impression was, “Wow, this new mangaka can really draw. The concept is solid too.”
You could tell from his art alone that he was a pretty confident guy. Now that he’s mentioned me like that, I’ll say this with complete confidence: someone like Kubo is an incredibly competitive, hard-working person.
You’re probably a bit embarrassed now, Kubo.😁
You’re a man of effort. Respect!! And congrats on Bleach’s 20th anniversary. Let’s grab a drink sometime soon.🍺
@soulsilverart To the lack cluster abilities, i think learning to implement them effectively is par of it the fun, now there's clear losers like mega emboar, but that's always the case. They're not all 10/10, when was the last time anyone used mega camerupt, glalie, or altaria?
Forgot add this to the
“Pros and Cons”category:
• It still has so much potential(because it’s a live service game),but will they capitalize on it?
Also the new ZA Megas getting lackluster abilities is a con, but not a con specific to Champions. Those Megas will have those abilities in Champs & beyond🥲
Also please read the first sentence of this post, “these are my PERSONAL pros and cons, as a casual that’s wants to play for free”.
I don’t get people saying this is attacking Champs, there are literally plenty of MY Pros listed here too🤣🤷🏼♂️
My personal EARLY pros and cons of Champions, as a casual that wants to play (or just spectate content) for free:
Cons:
• Can’t get VP in casual matches.
• Can’t anonymously spectate random public matches.
• Replica Teams are vastly inferior to Rental Teams. Rental teams were fun, helpful, and encouraged creativity. Replica teams are almost useless if you don’t have enough VP.
• (Still unconfirmed) After the first time you transfer a Pokemon from SV into Champions, you can’t transfer them back into SV to train them, and then use the new changes made in SV when you transfer them into Champions for a 2nd time.
• No 6v6 singles anywhere (still have to played ranked to get VP to even be able to enjoy this one day)
• Frame rate is very bad (on NS2)
• All items (and eventually) Pokémon should be available in PRIVATE“custom”matches.
• Can’t move Pokémon obtained in Champions Recruit System (that you spend tons of VP on to find and then train) to games outside of Champions.
• Recruit System is a Gatcha game. What happens when quick coupons run out?
• Not as casual-friendly as it seems. Apparently gets too competitive and complicated in later ranks (many casuals could fall-off). VP allegedly becomes a bit more sparse too.
• Its primary purpose is to cater to VGC and introducing VGC to a wider audience (Not a Pokémon Stadium or Battle Revolution battle training sim, not an answer to cutting the national dex, not an equal or even superior Pokémon Showdown).
• Minimal bugs(to be expected), but the few that change how a battle would play out aren’t great
• No PvE even though there are new NPC’s that would be fun to battle.(pipe dream)
Pros:
• The Pokémon (details) themselves look amazing.
• Most of the animations are good(except for multi-hit attacks).
• When I can actually play, the classic turn based battles prove how fun they are.
• So far seemingly good/quick support through patches and updates.
• Attempted balancing.
• Possible “Rule set”/item and Pokémon variety in regulations.
• A lot of early game rewards.
• If game is disconnected, it reconnects where you left off.
• Battle Data is a psuedo team builder guide.
• It’s addicting, it’s Pokémon.
Pro and Con:
• It’s “free-to-start” so a lot is free upfront, but as time goes on…
• Can’t pay for VP
• It’s Live Service Game
@CentroLeaks I don't even have online anymore and im not gonna waste money on it to play champions. They didn't even include all megas. Where's gen 3 starters. And how did Ariados get in but not the starters
Pokémon Champions TERRIBLE launch:
- Less Pokémon than Pokémon Stadium 2
- No 6v6 battles
- Performance issues even on Switch 2
- Slow, clunky menus
- Always online required, no more local wireless battles
- Tons of competitive items removed
- Rental Teams becoming completely useless
- Have to add all your friends again, doesn’t use your Switch friend list
- No single player content at all
