Definitely one the most shocking stories to occur in Drogheda since the gangland fued.
How did no one notice a child missing for 2 years?
Why hasn't the mother been arrested?
It's heartbreaking to think a 6 year old lost his life and nobody came looking for him.
@farmersjournal So we get the chopping money and get to sell the straw €€€ .Surely a sign of an election.
Butt what about the environmental benefits of chopping ?
A well thought out scheme that benefitted the tillage farmers.
911 call placed by Duncan Montgomery after his vehicle broke down while traveling to Scotland with his wife Ellie and their three daughters.
However, moments into the call, a lorry collided with their car, rendering Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery and their five-year-old daughter Rose unconscious.
However, everyone miraculously survived the accident.

How did this piece of open topped herp-a-derp become the coolest piece of kit in infantry battalions scrapping their way through liberating North West Europe?*

@think_or_swim Have a guy measuring our earthworms and he says we have between 3.5 million and 7 million earthworms/ hectare . It looks to be slightly higher than number in ploughed ground.
Populations of earthworms in UK have declined by a third over the past 25 years.
Survival of human civilisation depends on a few inches of topsoil. Destroy that, we lose everything.

If Simon Harris is selected as Taoiseach next week his priority will be managing a weakened and jaded Fine Gael who have been in office for too long & are out of touch rather then bringing fresh energy & solutions to addressing the crises in health & housing. We need an election.
@MikeMcKillen@think_or_swim@TonightVMTV Why would tillage farmers need support. All we need is to stop implementing European directives on three crop rules and compulsory rotations into a mixed farming Irish landscape. Fodder crisis is easily solved by stock reduction.
@think_or_swim@TonightVMTV#Ireland is 'In an extended period of unstable weather'! As you say supports are now urgent for tillage farmers, in particular, who have been unable to till and sow their lands for spring cereals. That will lead to a knock-on fodder crisis come autumn.
We need a discussion about
Clip below is first part of my contribution to @TonightVMTV debate last night on extreme weather & #climatechange and how Irish agriculture should respond.
We have never had so many teachers in Irish schools. Teacher numbers grew 36% over the past decade, while student numbers increased by just 6%, so pupil:teacher ratios have never been better. It's one of the reasons Irish education is amongst the best in the world. 🇮🇪🧑🏫👏
I've known my father-in-law 14 years. Today he tells me he sat in with Billy Coleman in 1979 or 1980 before the Circuit of Ireland. This is on a par with waiting 14 years to tell your football-mad relation you played 5-a-side with Maradona
Keep sharing the real story and would we not want to know the following
- Why the wee Corporal was allowed to flee the 6 counties?
- where he is holed up?
- the reaction of actual British folk to him being around?
- how long have folks within wider Unionism known about this??
@danobrien20 Reunited Ireland should be governed from a parliament in Stormont with the main Departments in Belfast and the rest of them distributed throughout the Island. The toxic politics of Dublin and corruption would be disturbed. The windfall tax is being banked for reunification.
The Republic has one of the lowest rates of road fatalities in the world.
Northern Ireland is one of the politically fragile regions in Europe, and it has undergone an earthquake in the past 24 hours.
Is the south remotely ready for reunification?
@KilconnorFlock We had over 400 ewes and were probably the first to start fencing with 3 strands of electric . We had an outbreak of CCN and six lambs in the freezer . You could live with loosing small lambs but not big ones . Lambed my first ewe at 4 years of age .
Just logged off this, now off to drop it to office. 25 years in an industry finished today or at least paused for good while. Hard believe it’s 25 years since first job at it, hired over a coffee in Bewleys. Full time peasant now 💪
@ArableSam Nordic varieties can be planted in April and harvested in August . If you planted Ark Royal late it would be harvested in October . Genetically engineered Sugar Beet that could be planted in September and harvested the following September.
With a pattern of wetter Marches and dryer Aprils (23 was a wet April in my book) is there a place is the market for faster developing spring varieties like a 90 day barley? Not saying they should all be that way but a percentage of recommended list to spread risk
@FlameAngel8@johnkonrad My father could appear behind you in a twenty acre field and you would wonder where he came from . An artillery man till the day he died . Forward observation officer so he had to sneak about .
@johnkonrad Dove hunting with my Dad.
Killed about 60 birds while the legal limit was 12.
Game wardens raided the field but they didn't find us.
Dad was 101st Airborne and a survivor of numerous ambushes.
He moves through the woods like smoke without a sound.
Psychologist friend: “what was the happiest moment of your early childhood?”
Me: “sitting on my dad’s lap in the office seat of a FDNY truck barreling through the smoke filled streets of the bronx en route to a major fire”
“Did he take you into the fire?”
“No I sat alone in the truck waiting for him to finish the job”
“Was it safe to leave you there?”
“The cops sure didn’t think so. Mom wasn’t too happy about it either”
“That’s not a happy moment. That’s serious trauma. You need to see someone immediately.”
“I’m good”
@johnkonrad A guy that worked for my father disemboweling a dead pig to try and find out what it died from . Coming home from school and being sent out to the field to pluck wool from dead sheep . Easier get wool off a warm sheep that had not been eaten by crows .
@MarcherMedia1@JunkScience They use small trained people to do the 90 second evacuation figures on aeroplanes. It took 18 minutes to evacuate the Japanese plane. I am impressed with my daughter’s EV and I have diesel in my blood.
More EV disaster:
"It is all beginning to look a bit like the Volkswagen scandal: you remember, when regulators caught out the German car company for installing software which detected when diesel engines were in test mode and adjusted performance so that it flattered emissions figures.
"A test by What Car magazine has revealed that the official figures for the range of electric cars over-estimates their real-life range by around a third."
