"Mythos is making people pause to say, wait how much do I need to spend on cyber? They’re pausing on new deals until they know" implication - holy crap this is expensive - how often do i need to run this on what? no way i can afford to run this continuously - what are my options?
Sara Eisen@SaraEisen

I spoke to IBM CEO Arvind Krishna about the warning today and here’s what he told me: “A few large capex deals paused near the end of the quarter. It’s not widespread. It’s mainframe and the software associated with it….Mythos is making people pause to say, wait how much do I need to spend on cyber? They’re pausing on new deals until they know…We don’t see our software being disrupted by ai at all.”

Founders please avoid the “forever” fundraising round Seeing too many times founders get happy ears when a number of firms reach out. Lots of this btw is automated. Usually a signal a competitor is raising Be able to discern the signal from the noise - perhaps its someone you’ve know for awhile itching to write a check but more inbound does not mean you’re ready Go out on your terms - make sure you have the story right and appropriate for your stage. Same goes for appropriate metrics Going out too early and not getting it done makes it look like there are issues when the only issue is you should have never gone out in the first place. It’s also a massive distraction when you could have spent a few more months building the product and metrics you need

💯 “If learning flows in only one direction, economic value converges toward the owners of the learning infrastructure rather than the creators of the knowledge itself. Therefore, it's imperative that we distribute the learning infrastructure to every firm so that they can control their own learning loop.”

I asked @edsim from @Boldstartvc's AI why you should build your own Individual AI now, not later. "The risk of waiting isn't staying neutral. It's falling behind people who started compounding six months ago." Context is the moat. I got Ed's real thinking, in his voice, without Ed in the room. That's the product. Own your AI before someone else does. @uare_ai 🔥

🤯 The real bottleneck in AI inference is memory bandwidth, not compute. Coding agents reuse 98% of their context. The constraint is moving that cached data back to the GPU fast enough. @netpreme's X-Mem solves it: 6.7x faster response times, 30-50% more throughput, better GPU utilization. Faster on the same hardware = cheaper per token.

🚀 Accelerating SGLang HiCache with Netpreme X-Mem™ MPU: new blog from @netpreme on plugging a TB/s memory tier into HiCache's hierarchical KV cache! In multi-turn coding sessions (Claude Code on SWE-bench), prefix-cache hit rates average ~98%. At this point, KV bandwidth is the bottleneck, not compute. Swapping Host DRAM for X-Mem™ as the offload tier: ✅ Up to 6.7× lower TTFT  ✅ 33–50% higher TPS/user under load ✅ 30% higher system throughput ✅ Drop-in via HiCache's tiering interface

exactly what crypto and stablecoins were built for Programmable + micropayments without overwhelming fees Going to open up a whole lot monetization opps esp. as agents crawl more and more of your content/data without paying...
Cloudflare@Cloudflare

We're opening the waitlist for our Monetization Gateway, which will allow you to charge for any web page, dataset, API, or MCP tool behind Cloudflare. The charges will settle in stablecoins over the x402 open protocol. cfl.re/4eUFdt6

And for those software infrastructure founders feeling a bit unloved at the moment, this shit is really hard to deliver in enterprises at scale with each its own snowflake - your opportunity will come as the enterprise easy button of frontier labs expands into a smorgasbord of infrastructure, too hard to be encapsulated as a plugin or skill Keep grinding

This post is for software infra founders who are feeling a bit beaten up at moment…

in SF for the AI Eng world fair and much of the conversation for software infra founders building and raising is... To be…or not to be…in the token stream To software infrastructure founders solving hard problems that won’t go away with a plugin or skill, that takes time to build and does not hockey stick 🏒 from $0-10M in year 1, well because, building some of that tech is F*%*ing hard… Your time will come. Talking to lots of software infrastructure founders who are feeling a bit lesser than, so many meetings, lots of enterprise evals but very little spending at moment. Same goes with investors, you’re not physical AI, you’re not hockey sticking from month 1, well, it’s hard to get folks to pay attention at the moment… But… You have to remember the early enterprise adopters either built some of their own stuff and eventually will realize that it’s hard to maintain. Or they hit the enterprise Easy Button and went all in on Claude or OpenAI and only now finally realize that this shit is expensive and they now need to build and live in a multi-model world which is complex. Or it’s still just so damn early! A recent Goldman Sachs IT survey says 69% of CIOs say AI will increase security budgets. Yet almost no public security company has reported an AI tailwind in their numbers this year. The reason is simple. Agents are still in sandboxes. The attack surface everyone is worried about barely exists in production yet. When it does, these budgets won't move 3%. They'll move 10%+. They will buy infra to make it easier, they will buy easy ways to post train and host models, they will buy security to live in a multi vendor world for auth and guardrails…it’s coming Yes, it won’t happen overnight, this will take time, but it will move quickly the back half of this year - those evals and pilots will convert, your time is coming Building software infrastructure is hard, getting folks to adopt is hard, and the enterprise pain is not fully there yet but it’s coming and it will come really fast Some VCs will also realize that perhaps easy growth in the token stream also equals easy churn for some, and switching costs will remain low It's easy to chase the shiny object now but take a hard look at your product and your pipeline before you decide to chase the token stream

These are the kinds of tasks that felt impossible to automate just a few years ago. and here they are showing it live
Lukas Ziegler@lukas_m_ziegler

That's one of the coolest robotics demos! 😮‍💨 @GeneralistAI showed GEN-1 handling box folding and screw packing during @AutomateShow. The boxes are cardboard with real variability: creasing, deformation, different configurations. GEN-1 retries when things go wrong. It adapts mid-task. This is a jump from GEN-0, shown 3 months ago during GTC. GEN-0 handled rigid, predictable boxes. GEN-1 handles deformable ones with chaotic behavior. The scaling is straightforward. GEN-1 trained on 500,000 hours of proprietary, real-world dexterous manipulation data. Scaling laws are working. More high-quality real-world data leads to better physics understanding, better retry behavior, better generalization. And the time to get a working demo is shrinking drastically. They're not even at scale yet. They're just starting to see what happens when you pre-train on massive amounts of actual robot data. ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

Stay tuned - something big happening soon with @Uare_ai - the only AI built by you and for you
Rob LoCascio@RobLoCascio

Salesforce just paid $3.6 billion for the technology I invented in 1997. Sit with that for a second. FIN. Formerly Intercom. AI agents that resolve customer queries through chat buttons on websites. That's it. That's the thing. Chat on a website, deployed at scale, sold for $3.6 billion to the world's largest CRM company. I know this world. I lived it for 28 years. I took LivePerson public on the back of this exact technology. Fast Company named us the number one AI company in the world in 2022, above OpenAI, because we had automated a billion conversations for the largest banks and telcos on the planet. And here's what I know from all of it. The chat button doesn't work. A fraction of customers ever click it. The rest call 1-800 numbers, sit on hold, explain their problem to three different people, and hang up more frustrated than when they started. We dressed it up in AI. We automated the resolution. We trained the models. And the fundamental experience stayed broken. I've wanted to kill 1-800 numbers since 2015. I said it from the Nasdaq opening bell. I meant it. I still mean it. But here's what I see now that I couldn't see then. The answer was never a better chat button on their website. The answer is you never go to their website at all. Your Individual AI already knows who you are. Your account. Your history. Your preferences. Your last three interactions with that brand. When you need something, you don't hunt for a chat window. You ask your AI. It has the connectors. It has the context. It reaches out to the brand on your behalf, fully armed with everything it needs to resolve the issue in one shot. The interface to customer support isn't a button on a company's website. The interface is you. That's the world I'm building at Uare. Not a smarter chat agent on their side of the wall. An intelligent, personal, context-rich AI on your side. One that represents you the way a great assistant represents an executive. Fully briefed. Fully authorized. Fully yours. $3.6 billion is a big number. It tells you this market matters. It also tells you the world is still solving the wrong problem. I'll spend every waking day finishing what I set out to do. To book end the whole story, my first investor from LivePerson, @edsim is the lead in Uare. We started this journey together and we will finish it together!

Had a blast continuing convo on agentic diffusion in F500 w/@jmk37 CTO of McKinsey, @WSummerlinAI @DHFrankenstein We all know that the last mile in the enterprise is the longest, but when labs/vendors send FDEs who owns the learnings? Easy button vs. own thy evals?

What happens when Intelligence is becoming more abundant. As open source and Chinese models continue to improve, value is rapidly accruing to those who own the workflow, the data, the evals, and the customer relationship. The question used to be how do we catch up to the frontier labs and now its which models do I use when. In addition, the ability for startups to post train on better intelligence is only getting stronger every day with the release of Z AI's GLM AI model What's 🔥 #503 is out... whatshotit.vc/p/whats-in-ent…

Finally the use cases for crypto appearing - micropayments via agents using USDC, make so much sense as programmable money is here Cloudflare and others will follow suit soon Every agent will need a wallet and opens a whole world of agentic task monetization with zero humans involved
