People leaving the church because of fund raising are just being dishonest and using it as an excuse.
Nobody is putting gun to your head to raise funds for church, if you have, you give.
The church needs money to function.
Pastors need to be paid salaries, church furnitures need to be bought, maintenance/repairs, generators, sound systems, speakers, microphones, musical instruments, welfare, evangelism materials like tracts, special program banners, cleaning materials etc.
Most people won't worship in an uncompleted building, when you go to church and it's looking all nice and beautiful, you like what you see, people's money did that!
