Bengali women need to marry within the community. Call me what you want but Bengali women marrying into random Punjabi / Haryanvi / UP households is a loss to our community. In my days in Delhi, I sometimes overheard male colleagues lamenting on the lack of marriage options and how they would target every single Bengali woman. And several women indeed would fall for their charms. The cold reality - A young Bengali Hindu woman marrying into a non-Bengali family is our community’s gene pool diluting further. Bengali Hindu kids are brought up in equality filled families and they carry this with them when they migrate out of the state. Northern men often perceive this to be easy game and play accordingly. This needs to stop. And for God’s sake, young Bengali Hindu men need to start exercising, start getting fit, stop eating junk, lose their bellies and become overall appealing men. We need to stem this gene pool dilution.

West Bengal’s tfr has dropped to 1.2 including muslims so if you remove them the Bengali Hindu TFR is most likely below 1.0. This is a quiet demographic crisis. When a community's TFR drops below 1, far under the 2.1 replacement level, it faces rapid population decline and aging. For Bengali Hindus, TFR below 1.0 means our unique cultural heritage, traditions, and local representation will quietly go extinct over the next two generations. Population stability is vital for cultural survival. It’s time to wake up and talk about it or be replaced by others. c.c :- @Bhivansam

Upper Caste and Middle Caste Bengalis fixed at One Child Policy.. Its not easy to increase Bengal's TFR by will. Reason is socio- economical.. Bengali's avarage income level is very Low when they stay in Bengal. As historically Bengali Parents want to be their children highly educated and to get good job , they spend huge money irrespective of Girls and Boys.. And the good options right now is to send their children to other states and abroad. A good cost .. Again a good cost to help them settle in other cities. This overall expense will reach 1 crore after 15 years. Only few Bengalis can afford 2 crore for two child..
