🇮🇱 A BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE FROM AN ISRAELI PILOT TO THE CHILDREN
An Israeli Air Force pilot recorded a message for children who may be sitting in protected rooms tonight.
“You’re not alone.
When I fly high above your homes, my entire mission is to protect you.
Maybe you’re in a shelter right now. Maybe it’s a little scary.
But there are thousands of us doing everything we can to keep you safe.
When I’m in the cockpit, I think about your smiles, your games, the hugs you give your parents.
Every time you go into the safe room on time, you’re part of our team. Our team of heroes.
If your heart is beating fast, take a deep breath. Hold your brother or sister’s hand. Listen to a song you love.
And think of me flying above you, guarding the sky like an invisible shield surrounding you.”
He ends with:
“You are not alone. You are loved. You are protected. And I am here for you, even when you can’t see me.”

I condemn the military escalation in the Middle East today.
The strikes by the US & Israel against Iran & the subsequent attacks by Iran undermine international security.
These actions carry the risk of igniting a chain of events that no one can control in the most volatile region of the world.
Lasting peace can only be achieved through peaceful means, including genuine dialogue and negotiations.
The @UN Charter provides the foundation for the maintenance of international peace & security.

I have received with profound shock and deep sadness the news this evening of the passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Mheshimiwa Johana Ng’eno.
My friend, Mheshimiwa Ng’eno, was a progressive and devoted servant of the people who worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Emurua Dikirr, Narok County.
He was focused, vocal, and fearless; a leader who stood firmly for justice and equity for all.
He will be remembered for the tangible progress achieved under his leadership and his exemplary commitment to promoting local talent, especially in music.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, the people of Emurua Dikirr, and all the victims and families affected by the helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County.
