Tonight, Missouri lynched another innocent Black man. Governor Parson had the responsibility to save this innocent life, and he didn’t. The NAACP was founded in 1909 in response to the barbaric lynching of Black people in America — we were founded exactly because of people like Governor Parson who perpetuate violence against innocent Black people. The Mayor must resign. No Mayor can serve our city under criminal indictment. The only responsible course for New York City is for Mayor Eric Adams to step down. If he refuses, he must be removed from office as prescribed by the charter. New Yorkers deserve so much better.

No DNA evidence. Jury members, even the prosecutor circled back saying the verdict was a mistake. Nobody involved wanted this man to die. We have a soulless justice system in this country. This is why the term “black lives matter,” as simple as it sounds, is so audacious.

A reminder that the previous Governor halted Marcellus's execution indefinitely and put together a group to examine his case and look at clemency. Parson dismantled that group and restarted the execution despite the Prosecuting Attorney's pleas. He should never know peace.

i think it's important for people to see the public face of mike parson, the governor who, up to now, refuses to stop the state sponsored killing of marcellus williams, an innocent man. carrying out this execution is depraved and immoral. it can still be stopped though.
