@samwrig56693366 My point is we're focusing on areas of the budget that equate to pennies compared to the more significant areas of government spending and waste, where we're actually increasing our budget.

@boqcasts Using your logic, we would never cut a dime from government. If your $2.10 was cut from the estimated 400 federal agencies, that would be over $800.

@boqcasts Small recommendation: instead of deactivating, just remove the avatar, or set it to blank, and use redact or something similar to remove all your posts. That way if the need ever arises to come back, no one can steal your name

@Matrym_gg This happened to a friend and they were far less lucky as it fried everything plugged in and started a few fires around the house. Scary stuff for sure.

So update. Definitely lightning strike on the house. Punched a hole through the roof and hit the AC in the attic. Current went down all the wiring and fried a ton of electronics (RIP consoles) but the casting PC is mostly fine. Everyone is safe and no fires. Now just repairs

It's not changing the subject. It's pointing out the hypocrisy in his stance. It's actually worse on guns as firearms are an enshrined right in the bill of rights. In fact, there's a reason it is number 2. In reality, there is no enshrined right to vote in the original Constitution or BoR... you have to get post civil war for that to be an expressed idea. To take it a step further, from day one there were very specific restrictions on who could vote. It was never challenged because it was widely accepted. It wasn't until women's suffrage and emancipation before there was a genuine push for voting rights, which I do agree with btw

Forcing people to pay $130 for a passport in order to vote is just a Jim Crow poll tax by another name. It is blatantly unconstitutional.
