We benchmarked 200 real PDFs against @OpenClaw's default PDF extractor (pdfjs) against our recently released pdf-to-markdown cli converter. But as @steipete always comments, we didn't just want to point out something wrong without helping. So I built a plugin to fix it. Thread:

Shipping Day! We’re all proud and excited @nutrientdocs to officially release our PDF to Markdown converter. On our 200 document hand annotated markdown based benchmark it beats out every other major parser for speed and reading order while matching accuracy. We are shipping it as a closed source, free to use for up to 1,000 documents per month, no license key required, and your documents stay completely local. We’ve had early beta testers give us phenomenal feedback but please reach out and share publicly your experience with it. Our future roadmap: - adding our OCR Vision capabilities to it. - supporting Windows x64 - speed increases (yeah, make it even faster) - support for DOCX to md - more based on feedback. If you find it useful, please star the repo and tell your friends!

@thinkabli Sorry for the late reply. I don't have a link yet. I have been using it for two weeks to iron out all the kinks :) I'm currently travelling, but happy to give you build that is a bit rough. Do you currently use any note taking app?

I love Granola, but what I really wanted was a simple markdown transcript for my agent. So I built something that automatically creates a markdown file, adds speaker diarization, and sends it straight to my agent. I have been using it for couple months now.

Long shot: I will be in Korea end of this month. Do I know anyone, or anyone I should meet?

@toddsaunders Same! All I wanted is actually a markdown file and multiple speaker diarization.

Take away my API access, and I take away my credit card. What are the best alternatives to Granola? Would love to hear what you are using.

When you think about it, its kind of amazing that you can ask a machine:"What do you think"? and watch it think.

The more you play around with AI, the more you realize, we will need more "engineers" and not less. The wrong assumption is that the "software" market is fixed.

honestly still think the single most frustrating part about openclaw is scheduling something, thinking its scheduled bc i confirmed that its scheduled and told me its set to run, then it doesnt run. this happens everyday, no matter what i do.

I don't want to name any names but too many AI based products I'm using lately are insanely buggy. As a user I totally do not benefit from the fast shipping cycles of these companies and I can feel the slop through my beachball cursors.

100% although I think most users are better off using a trusted service. It’s the old crypto debate.

@iambriccardo Manus in a way suffers from the same issue as zo computer, poke and others: do you want to give it access to stuff to make it useful? OpenClaw lowered that barrier massively.
