From 25 February, British dual nationals will no longer be allowed to enter the UK using only a foreign passport. To board a plane, they’ll need a valid British passport or a ’Certificate of Entitlement’ - costing £589. The Home Office says airlines can accept expired UK passports at their own discretion, but there’s no legal guarantee you won’t be turned away at the airport gate.

بحضور معالي وزير الداخلية بمملكة البحرين الفريق أول الشيخ راشد بن عبد الله آل خليفة، مثلتُ #جامعة_نايف_العربية وقدمت كلمتها في فعاليات افتتاح مؤتمر "إدارة الحدود والتقنيات في الشرق الأوسط"، الذي يُعقد في #المنامة بالشراكة مع وزارة الداخلية البحرينية والمنظمة الدولية للهجرة، والجمعية الدولية لإدارة الحدود والتقنيات. تمثل #إدارة_الحدود اليوم أحد أكثر مجالات الأمن تعقيدًا وتأثيرًا، فهي مرآة للتكامل بين السياسات والابتكار والتعاون الدولي. وتعمل جامعة نايف العربية عبر أنشطتها العلمية والبحثية وشراكاتها الدولية على بناء المعرفة والخبرة التي تُسهم في صياغة حلول متقدمة لإدارة الحدود وتعزيز أمن الإنسان والمجتمعات. ونتطلع أن تُسهم توصيات هذا النشاط في إثراء الجهود الإقليمية وتوسيع آفاق التعاون لصياغة منظومات أكثر تكاملًا واستدامة في إدارة الحدود. #خالد_الحرفش

كما سعدتُ بلقاء معالي الشيخ هشام بن عبدالرحمن آل خليفة وكيل وزارة الداخلية لشؤون الجنسية والجوازات والإقامة بمملكة #البحرين، وسعادة اللواء الدكتور أحمد ناصر الريسي رئيس منظمة الإنتربول، والسيد جوزيف تابل مدير مكتب منظمة الهجرة بالبحرين، والسيد ستيوارت سكييتس كبير المستشارين في الجمعية الدولية لإدارة الحدود والتقنيات، وذلك ضمن فعاليات المؤتمر. كان لقاءً مثمرًا نوقشت فيه آفاق التعاون وتبادل الخبرات في مجالات إدارة الحدود ومكافحة #الجريمة المنظمة، واختُتم بتكريمهم بدروع #جامعة_نايف_العربية تقديرًا لشراكتهم وجهودهم في دعم العمل الأمني المشترك. #خالد_الحرفش
