Curious about everything. Opinionated about most of it. I help owner-led service firms find what's slowing them down. No tool theater. DM "SIGNAL."

Most companies don't have an AI problem. They have a workflow problem. A decision problem. A "we're busy but not moving faster" problem. AI only helps once you know where the real constraint is. That's what I do for owner-led service firms. I run a focused diagnostic that finds what's actually slowing the business down, where margin is leaking, and what to fix in the next 90 days. No tool theater. No transformation programs. No pretending every problem needs automation. Just clarity, decisions, and practical systems. If you run a professional services firm and something in this post hit, DM me "SIGNAL."

@DeRonin_ I've installed all three after checking to see if it is compatible with my setup. So far so good. Token usage already reduced. 👍🏾

10 GitHub repos to spend 60-90% less tokens in Claude Code: 1. RTK (Rust Token Killer) CLI proxy that filters terminal output before it hits your context - 60-90% reduction on common dev commands - one binary, zero dependencies - works with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot Repo: github.com/rtk-ai/rtk 2. Context Mode Sandboxes raw tool output into SQLite instead of dumping it into context - 98% context reduction on Playwright, GitHub, logs - only clean summaries enter your conversation - works as Claude Code plugin Repo: github.com/mksglu/context… 3. code-review-graph Local knowledge graph that maps your codebase with Tree-sitter - Claude reads only what matters, not the entire repo - 49x token reduction on large monorepos - 6.8x on average reviews Repo: github.com/tirth8205/code… 4. Token Savior MCP server that navigates code by symbols, not full files - 97% reduction on code navigation - persistent memory across sessions - 69 tools, zero external deps Repo: github.com/Mibayy/token-s… 5. Caveman Claude makes Claude talk like a caveman to cut output tokens - 65-75% output reduction - one-line install - keeps full technical accuracy Repo: github.com/JuliusBrussee/… 6. claude-token-efficient one CLAUDE.md file that keeps responses terse - drop-in, no code changes - reduces output verbosity on heavy workflows - best for output-heavy sessions Repo: github.com/drona23/claude… 7. token-optimizer-mcp MCP server with caching, compression, and smart tool intelligence - 95%+ token reduction through intelligent caching - compresses repeated tool outputs Repo: github.com/ooples/token-o… 8. claude-token-optimizer reusable setup prompts for optimizing any project - 90% token savings in 5 minutes - reduces doc token usage from 11K to 1.3K Repo: github.com/nadimtuhin/cla… 9. token-optimizer finds ghost tokens that silently eat your context - survives compaction without losing quality - fixes context quality decay Repo: github.com/alexgreensh/to… 10. claude-context (by Zilliz) code search MCP that makes your entire codebase the context - ~40% reduction with equivalent retrieval quality - hybrid BM25 + dense vector search Repo: github.com/zilliztech/cla… [ how to stack them ]: you don't need all 10. pick 2-3 based on your workflow: > heavy terminal output? RTK > big codebase? code-review-graph + Token Savior > lots of MCP servers? Context Mode > quick fix? Caveman + claude-token-efficient most people are burning tokens without knowing it run /context in a fresh session and see how much is gone before you even type a word your pocket will thank me later :<)

Your team doesn't need another AI tool. They need someone to say: here's the one thing we're solving this quarter. Clarity before capability. Every time.

The best AI governance framework I've seen fits on one page. The leaders who built it knew exactly what they were protecting and why. Every line had a reason. That's rigor. A 40 page doc collecting dust is just theater.

You have already had the thought. You just have not said it out loud. Somewhere in your org, an AI tool is shaping a decision nobody formally agreed it should make. Right now that is fine. Six months from now, one bad call and it is a client you cannot get back. The tools are not the problem. The missing decision about who owns the output is. Happy to think through it together.

Your AI strategy is not a strategy if it changes every time a new model drops. Real strategy survives a product launch. If yours doesn't, you have a reaction plan. Not a plan.

A paper just showed that AGENTS.md context files actually reduced task success rates while inflating costs. The folder crowd is scrambling. But here's what nobody's saying: the file wasn't the problem. The lack of clarity about what the agent was supposed to do was the problem. Sound familiar?

@AlexReibman I enjoyed building it myself. I learned a ton. What people forget is that these tools are all so unique to every single person. Yes they have the same framework but the use case is unique to you as an individual. So build it yourself.

The folders vs agents debate is really a control debate. Folders say: give the AI structured constraints upfront. Agents say: let the AI figure it out. Both assume the AI knows what problem it's solving. Most of the time, the human doesn't even know yet.

@stripe @link Exciting and scary at the same time. Will the bots buy us out soon? Will they own all the money and we'll look back at this juncture as day 0? Not sure. I'll be back, gotta give my agents an allowance and chores to do to earn it.

@Austen I am fully there with you @Austen. AI is going to release us from tedious work and enable us to do higher-level more exciting things. There are roles and jobs that don't exist today that will exist tomorrow because of AI, in my opinion. I see it as a force multiplier...a Catalyst

Sometimes it feels like I’m the only person who thinks AI will create far more jobs than it destroys. Isn’t that the obvious outcome of this?

In my opinion where we are with AI today is 1998, 1999 with the internet. Those of us old enough to remember think about that carefully and make your decisions wisely. Just my $0.02

@FiredUpCoug Here I was having a wonderful Friday and you had to bring up this trauma?!? I guess I'll read the books and see if that will erase "the movies that shan't be named!" from my memory.

How Disney can save the Star Wars franchise in two simple steps: 1) Declare that Kathleen Kennedy's sequel trilogy is non-cannon. 2) Replace it with Timothy Zahn's trilogy.

@Codie_Sanchez I like it. I think it's exciting. My fear is that we're going to get to the point where AI is just talking to AI. That's when they take over the world. Until that AI domination, I think I'll try to see if anybody locally wants this product. Thanks Codie.

One of the most overlooked AI opportunities in the next 24 months is voice agents for boring businesses. Every HVAC, plumbing, and pest control company in America is sending calls to voicemail after 5pm. One AI voice agent fixes it overnight. Most owners have never even heard of this technology, yet alone know how to implement it. The person who packages this up and sells it to 500 of them is going to be very rich...very quietly.

@danmartell Sat with this one for a beat. My early X posts read like I was talking AT a wall. Then I started writing for the version of me who got laid off from pharma and felt completely lost. That's when people leaned in. Hard to call out an audience you've never actually been.
