austin physiognomy is wild because around ladybird lake 9/10 people look like demi-gods, the ubermensch, perfect specimens, the college athlete, the top 1% girl on onlyfans doing hot girl walks, shirtless muscular dudes running a perfect 6 minute mile in the sun then a 10 min drive away it's all deformed 4'9 mexican goblins as far as the eye can see

I'm thinking of subleasing my apartment this summer and spending the summer at a different city. Due to LA's systemic decline, I want to try somewhere else for a bit. What cities do you recommend? Priority is on fun urban culture, good demographics, good weather, dating.

@chuckiegregory Horrible take, you're privileged to live in the USA. When USA blocked payments to russia the only way i was able to send my friend money was because of crypto. He would have been drafted and sent to military service if he didnt get out.

Unpopular opinion. Crypto has failed. It’s called a currency. But after YEARS of being mainstream and thousands of coins I know nobody that transacts with crypto coins. How can it be a currency when nobody uses it like one. And even with insane infrastructure it’ll never work. Cause it’s too expensive. Gold is better store of value. For this reason I do hold crypto but it’s my lightest %. I believe blockchain technology is great and will grow but if crypto hasn’t become an actual transactional currency in 2026 what is the reason it will in future? Genuinely asking.

Annoying larping losers will go ahead and hyper analyze every image, email, and piece of copy when someone scales big This whole Medvi situation on Twitter is genuinely sad to see Shoutout Medvi and @galligator, at least a third of our monthly spend goes to there
Alex Cohen@anothercohen

Friend got a marketing email from Medvi this morning. Email copy aside, the provider they are using in the screenshot is an actual doctor, not an NP, whose real name is Alec Wier, and he is COMPLETELY UNAFFILIATED with Medvi. This entire company is run on fraud and deception and I hope the founder ends up in prison

This is insane A man alone built a $1.8B company in months using AI - Matthew Gallagher - founder of Medvi - based in LA - self-taught programmer before this - builds websites - experiments with online businesses - fails multiple times then AI arrives - ChatGPT, Claude, Grok for code and text - Midjourney, Runway for visuals - he uses everything Medvi begins - telemedicine platform - focused on weight loss drugs (GLP-1) - built in 2 months starting capital is $20,000 first traction - 300 customers in month 1 +1,000 customers in month 2 growth explodes 2025 - $401M in revenue - first full year 2026 - projected $1.8B revenue - 500,000+ patients team - basically just him - plus his younger brother - minimal contractors how it runs - AI writes the code - AI creates the ads - AI handles support - AI analyzes performance he still oversees everything, fixes chatbot mistakes and manages marketing decisions today - generating millions personally - donating to charity - planning foundation for homeless youth what this proves you don’t need a big team anymore you don’t need huge capital AI removed the barrier the man who scaled faster than anyone expected

Will assume he has some sort of plan to exit because allowing this article to be written has to be the absolute dumbest thing on the planet for anyone to do. I see zero pros and about 1000 cons to having this published.

.@eringriffith: "His start-up, Medvi, a telehealth provider of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, got 300 customers in its first month. In its second month, it gained 1,000 more. In 2025, Medvi’s first full year in business, the company generated $401 million in sales. Mr. Gallagher then hired his only employee, his younger brother, Elliot. Pat Stedman | Dating & Relationship Coach for Men
There's no question dating apps have gone downhill. Before COVID they were fairly easy to succeed in if you knew what you were doing, although the quality was gradually progressing downwards. During COVID quality briefly shot up as everybody went online; normal women who weren't on the apps before decided to try them. But within a year things started going downhill again, and this time exponentially. Some locations have been more resilient than others, and obviously if you have a REALLY good profile you can still get decent matches, but we are now in an effective free-fall state. There are a few reasons for this: 1) Deterioration of Gender Relations. The woke era had it's problems in terms of messed up masculine-feminine polarity, but in the beginning men were on the defensive. They'd walk on eggshells around certain topics but were mostly in the mindset of "how do I avoid triggering this shitlib and get her into bed" or "how do I avoid the crazies and find a girlfriend". But excesses of this feminist period eventually bore fruit in the mainstreaming of the red pill, which happened around 2022-23. This has led men to mirror the reciprocal judgment that women were applying to men, and the result has been a rapid collapse in trust and charity towards the opposite sex altogether. There are not just misunderstandings and dissonance in dating today, the dynamics are openly and actively adversarial. Men assume going into an interaction that the woman is a whore not worth committing to. Women in turn have become more clout-chasing and superficial. It's transactional and entitled on both sides. 2) The Nature of the Platform. As others have outlined, the way apps are structured are designed to cause frustration and misunderstanding. Women are bombarded with not only unrealistic options (for commitment) but also excess in general, which makes them devalue the matches they get and become even more distracted and dismissive in the exchanges with the ones they accept. To the extent they put any effort at all into their matches, it is invariably with the ones who will be least invested in them. This leads to women feeling used and humiliated while simultaneously thinking themselves above the men who would be appropriate matches in real life. Men, meanwhile, are faced not only with women who have low bandwidth for their messages but markedly lower quality than they would ever get in the real world. In some particularly rayped locations I've seen handsome white 6ft tall real estate developers getting matched with almost exclusively obese ghetto women by the algorithm. Many men accordingly come to the (false) conclusion that women have it easier since they have so many more options, and develop deep resentment that women think they're so much better than them. 3) The Domination of the Online Commons. All of this feeds into the final major input, which is that what happens on these apps and on social media has begun to define the cultural conversation in general. Online dating in the aughts was mostly for middle-aged singles / divorcees who lacked the time and options to date normally, or for people who were very outside the mainstream in interests who had a hard time meeting others like them in real life. But by ~2010 it was becoming something normal, younger people were dipping their toes into - which was great (IMO the Golden Age of online), because these people still fundamentally had normal social lives. The platform wasn't in your pocket, it was on a browser - you'd check messages here and there - it was a supplemental way to meet people you otherwise never would, rather than a replacement. But since Tinder and other apps in 2015 this gradually changed, and once COVID shut down the world, the culture moved online... and never came back. This is leading to the problem that fewer young people now know how to socialize normally, and most of their experience with the opposite sex has been online where they are treated dismissively and poorly; meanwhile they are bombarded with viral slop outrage content that reinforces "this is what it's like dating" and "this is what men/women think about you" horror stories. These people feel dehumanized by the opposite sex, despite rarely meeting them in real life, and this suspicion makes them interpret the innocent or innocuous interactions they do have in a negative light. The stakes of everything feel so much higher. Rather than be something to learn from or brush off like it used to be, now a disappointing romantic experience becomes reframed as commentary on the entire sex's character and nature. Men and women no longer have an individual dating life, they have a collective one; for a man you are either living the archetype of the chad or the incel. And this toxic online reality is reinforced by the fact that the people who have self-respect and are not interested in these win-lose games or outrage porn are leaving the apps altogether, leaving the online pool remaining of lower and lower quality - not simply in looks, but in emotional capacity to actually form healthy relationships. The apps are in other words increasingly becoming little more than a place to play mind games with people. Most guys are there to hit it and quit it, and the women to farm validation and attention. Even the most good faith actors deprioritize every date made on there, which at this point is prudent. No one is serious about anything agreed to; like cold calling you almost expect to be flaked on or ghosted. Can you still succeed on there? Even though it is more competitive and lower ROI than ever, yes. But as AI pictures begin to swarm the platform in the coming year, I think we are approaching a point of no return. These sites are going to become a labyrinth of illusions. Major changes in verification will need to occur to preserve even basic functionality, and this doesn't change (and may even reinforce) the more foundational problems in how these sites pair up men and women in the first place. So if you want to find mentally healthy and attractive people, get offline and go out and meet them in the real world. It's more work up front, but in the long term the rewards are not even comparable. This was always true, but in 2026 it's more true than ever.
