@deGourlay It’s the expensive misguided absurd reach for net zero that gets me. Milliband is just Labour’s and Starmageddon TOOL. The country can’t afford it but Labour push on like Ahab and his whale. Anybody that knows the story knows that Ahab was mad.

The triple lock on pensions is Robin Hood in reverse. Britain is stealing from the young poor and giving to the rich old.

@miriam_cates Your name should be mystic Meg I believe. You’re right of course the government has spiffed away my 48 years of paying for my OAP pension. But it’s my money not yours or the government’s “mine and like all OAP people we want our pension money”

No one has ‘paid into’ the state pension. NI payments are spent by the government of the day, not put into a pot with your name on. Using these terms just perpetuates the myth that the state pension is a contributory scheme. It isn’t. It’s a non-means tested universal benefit paid for by current taxpayers.

🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage formally commits to the state pension triple lock if Reform UK win the next election "The people to whom pensions are being paid, certainly compared to a younger generation today, are those who have actually worked and paid into the system"

@NXT4EU All for one and one for all. One cap fits all, now that is why I really do not care for the EU. I am British and want to remain British But I will probably be dead by then so I should not care.

@DamianLow3 Not a trump fan, but war is not a choice. Iran is run by lunatics who would destroy the west given an opportunity Given a nuke. Right or wrong kicking this war down the road like Starmageddon would do would be a fatal mistake. This moron doing what’s right for the UK absurd

Why do some of the media and Farage and his cheerleaders hate that we have a PM who stands up to Trump?

@Petrie_JohnC I do not want to burst your bubble but the only way we would ever rejoin would be after a referendum it took three and half years to organise and another 4 years for Brexit to happen originally it took 13 years to be accepted back in 1973. Labour will be history next GE

@dave43law Why? They got rich because they worked hard. They have paid more than their fair share of taxes when climbing the ladder. They will probably die at an early age of a heart attack. Are you sure it’s just not green eyed envy?

@RobertMidgley07 @PetenShirl some Negotiating. I am not only going to give the islands to you but I think 50 million pounds as well would be nice sum as well, but my generosity doesn’t stop there we will rent them back from you for a military base. What do you think of that then?

For the first time ever, the true cost of the Chagos Islands Deal is now in legal writing UK taxpayers would pay at least £50bn to give away the Chagos Islands and rent back our own territory of Diego Garcia Not Starmer's £3bn Not £36bn Not £46bn But £50bn+ Let that sink in

We must start drilling in the North Sea NOW. The government failing to act because of Net Zero ideology is madness. When the oil crisis starts, the public won’t care about their eco-lunacy. They will care about why the government has prioritised that over national security.

@daniellismore Rubbish Political views are so different between greens and Reform that there is not a cats in hell chance of a Reform voter defecting to the Green Party. If any person did then they would be on the funny juice.

@richardosefton Labour would be toast and his political career would be over. Let’s be honest about it. 17.4 million people voted to leave. Labour came into power with 8.4 million It’s not rocket science.

Starmer announces that the UK is pursuing closer relations with the EU: “Brexit did deep damage to our economy. And the opportunities to strengthen our security and cut the cost of living are simply too big to ignore. We want to be more ambitious.”

@JackieD86388657 The EU need Britain that’s a fact in debt and finding life very difficult. May be the country needs to vote on it. Depending the outcome, the terms as well. Our special friend the USA is not that special with Trump at the helm.
