Why? Because one party was for censorship of any debate. One party said claimed they were the science. One party took away consent to treatment.

youtube.com/watch?v=C5RaXq… The COVID pandemic caused anti-vaccine activism to be embraced by the right. Why?

@suzy_redd @JimSmith1278 @CyborgPeds It’s a shame construction outfits cut corners and engineers approve construction on fault lines. If it were not for this dumbfuckery, there would be a hell of a lot less opposition to more plants.

Let me say this as politely as I possibly can: you will never pry my cheap, effective nuclear power out of my hands, so fuck off. The nuclear power plant that provides electricity to a million people sits on less than 400 acres of land. I live in a big house in the South and the most expensive power bill I've had was $300. Shove your wind and solar up your butt.

A year ago James Comer referred ActBlue to the DOJ for prosecution. And we haven't heard a word about it since. And now ActBlue raised $3 billion last year. Democrats get away with everything because Republicans are WEAK.

@policywishes Well not necessarily, but rather you would not give hub a hard time for a great car. Maybe you wouldn’t complain that he drove so fast all the time!

WOAH 🚨 House Oversight Committee finds there is a company is Florida called “Have My Baby in Miami” It’s a birthright tourism company and just this one company has brought OVER 2,000 FOREIGNERS TO AMERICA TO GIVE BIRTH “That's the name of an actual company that is facilitating birth tourism into the United States, where foreigners come in on visas, have children, then leave so that their children can remain American citizens” Rep Brandon Gill “That's a problem. The American people are sick of it, and my task force on the House Oversight Committee is going after these companies” I looked more into this - It is a Miami-based maternity concierge service that specializes in helping foreign nationals travel to the US to give birth - Their website and marketing explicitly target international clients especially from Latin America, Brazil and more - They say they have assisted with over 2,000 international births in the U.S. But it goes even further than that Services include: - obstetric and pediatric care - logistical support for housing and transportation - visas guidance - delivery at facilities like Mercy Miami Hospital - postpartum care. This is a highly sophisticated operation, and it’s all to exploit our HORRIBLE birthright immigration loophole policy The House Oversight Committee says they’ve found many of these companies We won’t have a country if this continues

@MussabAliJC Trying to turn NJj into MN by your lawlessness? Nice to know you care more about people who shouldn’t be here than your citizens.

Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) was denied access to an immigration detention facility while anti-ICE activists screamed: "Let Sherrill in." Imagine if she cared about American citizens as much as she cared about foreign rapists

Let’s call this what it was. Anti-ICE radicals destroying property, blocking federal officers, and defending rapists, murderers, and violent criminals. This was never a peaceful protest. It was lawlessness.

@policywishes @AmsdenEric You can get a used Porsche at a reasonable price because they don’t hold their value. The reason for that is maintenance cost. I bought a Cayenne S in 2013 for 80k and sold it in 2021 for 17k. The Turbo I have now goes for >250k new. Ridiculous.

@CoffeeBlackMD I’m no expert here but is it possible historical normal values were inflated and now that there is a bigger sample size the true normal is now being elucidated? Be gentle if that’s a stupid question 😉

I keep finding low testosterone in younger men. Not “fatties” either. Normal young men who are active and hit the gym. It might be all Baader-Meinhof phenomenon as we have recent data that appears to show no drops in population testosterone levels and maybe it’s going up!! Also. No one cones my way in their 20s if they think they are fine. But it just seems odd to me. Every time I check someone wanting to get checked. It’s low. I would have assumed prior to this that a decent sized chunk of 20s year old men would be really fine by testosterone levels. I’d be able to reassure them and have them go with God. Now. Can you game the labs if you know what you’re doing? Sure. But I don’t actually suspect that. You can tell when someone is trying to be slick the vast majority of the time. But it’s not impossible to fool me. Could all of these guys clearly dial in sleep and diet better? Almost all of them. And also YES. I’m paying attention to the pituitary signals and prolactin and have found a prolactinoma this way. (Not sure if most clinics are even thinking about this). I am a patterns guy. It’s just the way my brain organizes. But man. It sure does seem like there is something going on with some of these young guys. Idk.

@coldstreams @GloriousPCMD @DrSuneelDhand Tbh, what’s rude is you think from one experience an NP is a better diagnostician than an MD/DO. The politicians and the hospital admins want you to keep thinking this way so as the bar lowers, you will shut up and accept it.

As I noted, he wasn't there and did not know the circumstances. The diagnosis was based on a physical exam; unfortunately, it was almost impossible for me to walk. A prior x-ray had shown some joint narrowing. The MRI confirmed I had a lot more problems with the knee we didn't know about, was referred to my PCP, who wanted to send me to ortho. However, PT felt we could address most of this with PT, which I hoped would be the case, and after several months I was able to walk again after a lot of difficult work. With my wife's case, a physician had previously and erroneously thought her breathing issues were due to asthma (she had no prior history of asthma) and prescribed an inhaler. In a few days, her breathing was more difficult and she went to urgent care. There, the NP correctly identified likely PE and referred her to the local ER, to which she was transported. Imaging there confirmed pulmonary embolisms and she was admitted to the hospital. Her ER doctor told her that, being active and fit, she was not the typical situation they would have expected for this. I wish these were my only stories. They are not.

@ThomasRGolden @DrSuneelDhand I’ll tell you what you get in college only scratches the first 2 yrs of med school! Personally, I’d counsel any kid to do nursing unless they have ambition to publish/ teach etc

True, backgrounds vary. In undergrad, I took Bio 1 & 2, Chem 1 & 2, O-Chem, and Calculus before choosing nursing to get into the workforce faster. The science foundation variability is real. Funny enough, two of my 4 kids want to be a doc and a chemical engineer. Have really enjoyed being a parent (18,16,14, and 9-year-old here now at age 43). Science runs deep!

No, it means the trans people have to use the correct facility for their biological sex.. as they did as children & teens, & before it became popular to 'identify' as actual females.

@ThomasRGolden @DrSuneelDhand My point is she has a very narrow focus within cardiology that she is expert at, but because she learned it backwards, i.e no basic physiology/ chemistry, etc, she lacks tools to put it all together. She sure knows how to dose Cellcept tho!

Standards exist, but mastery takes deliberate effort. I’m lightyears ahead of my old RN self on ECGs because of constant clinical grilling and Dr. Mattu’s ECG Weekly (highly recommend). But let’s be real: emergency care is a team sport. I’ve seen family practice docs moonlighting in rural settings freeze in a true EM crisis, and I’ve caught things physicians missed. We all have blind spots; the safety net lies in the dynamic of the team.

@dearaunty True But speaking for myself, I have met plenty of real women who look very masculine... My point is if the issue was not politicized and guys with beards didn't wake up one day and identify as female then demand to use the ladies room, perhaps there would be no issue at all
