When I learned PyMEL in college I felt like I'd developed god-like worldbuilding powers. Building with Claude blows that out of the water

@algekalipso my vocal control had a large step change recently, but it's unclear whether that's the ayahuasca, therapy, meditation, acupuncture, happiness, etc

A singing teacher I know has interfaced with 5-MeO-DMT in two ways. One of her students screamed so loud on 5-MeO-DMT that they hurt their vocal cords. And the other had a glowing experience and seems to sing much better afterwards - the experience "unlocked their range". Do you know of anyone who has improved on a sport or a skill after 5-MeO-DMT?

hayes valley is the most underrated neighborhood in sf — it has the best food in the city at souvla, patricias green is the densest park in the city, hazies has the hottest people on friday night, 3x boba shops, and there’s also indie ice cream places like salt n straw

Late last night I was dreaming out loud to the group chat about marking the full moon with a late night dip in the ocean, so tonight we're just going to go be witchy sirens

agency is important but so is having your friends all in one place so when you dream out loud things just happen it can be IRL (living with friends, 3rd spaces) or online (group chat, slack)

Outside of downtown, pretty much the entire first level of SF is garages. I can't think of any other major city that's like this

I don’t understand the motivation to physically battle yourself (gym people, marathon runners, etc) vs choosing to battle nature. Battling nature feels purposeful. Climbing, surfing, skiing, kiting, etc. You are conquering the elements. You are wrestling nature on behalf of humankind, harnessing it and bending it to your will. Battling yourself feels lame and masturbatory

@vocalcry I think people like being on vacation because they're experiencing something closer to the amount of personal space & belongings that results in more freedom and happiness

SFO airport is SO much nicer than Heathrow. Basically never any queues, no hostile commercial area where you're forced to walk through perfume-filled air. Quiet. Lots of space to sit. What explains this? Just the US being richer? Is SFO unusually nice for US?

if you accidentally shrink your jeans (bc you dried them on high, bc you'd procrastinated laundry until the morning of your flight), the solution to undoing that is to wear them while damp the greek gods themselves could not have devised a better punishment for audhd women
