@WorldByWolf TLDR: the police learned a valuable lesson and I don't like it

It’s been about an hour since the incident in Liverpool and we already have the race of the perpetrator. Funny how easy it is to give out details when it’s a white attacker. This is precisely why people speculated about the Southport massacre. No info so often means non-white.

“It’s one of the best days of my life; they deserve it. I said, for them this is like the World Cup. People who’ve died, people who’ve grown up and they’ve not seen Newcastle as Champions and now they’ve seen it.” Some quote, that.
HLTCO@HLTCO

It feels like that Bruno interview pitch-side just now is going to rewatched thousands of times by Newcastle fans for the next year or so. It’s exactly what you’d want to hear from your players as a fan.

We have to get to a place where collectively, we call out the officiating in this country In the old days, we could blame human error. Now, they’re given all the tools they need, extra officials, headsets, VAR etc & they’re worse than they’ve ever been It can only be corruption

Full time - 3-3 If you offered me the draw at 2-2 I’d have taken it, but to lose the 3 points to such a braindead decision hurts. #NEWLIV

@HowThingsWork_ Honestly mate, who really cares what it's called. It's delicious. You can argue about whether the name needed changing, but you should probably also ask yourself why you were so attached to an item of food being male.

I simply cannot believe that enough people are that upset or offended about the name of a Gingerbread Man that we needed this change. 🤦🏼‍♂️😭 Thoughts? Please tell me I'm not wrong!

@BobMacBobFace @MrWinMarshall They pled guilty bro. He didn't. If you need me to explain why pleading guilty speeds things up a bit, I'd be happy to do so. I could teach you to tell the time while I'm at it.

@MrWinMarshall Fast-tracking these convictions without due process is a travesty of justice. It undermines the legal system and erodes trust in its fairness and integrity.

@SayeedaWarsi @SkyNews I got my barrister exam results recently, and read them in the middle of a busy London street. When I saw them, I yelled "thank god" at the top of my voice. The idea that, were I Muslim and were this law encacted, I might have faced criminal sanction, is terrifying.

No Robert you do not get to go on national broadcasters and say one thing and try and pretend you said something else after! If you genuinely feel your comments on @SkyNews were inappropriate, offensive, incendiary and anti Muslim ( which they were) then start by apologising Then you can go back to pretending you are a responsible candidate for the leadership of our party. Not prepared to let you and other colleagues get away with this gaslighting and playing these games anymore- too much damage has already been done to our country and it deserves better than this populist nonsense.
Robert Jenrick@RobertJenrick

‘Allahu Akbar’ is spoken peacefully and spiritually by millions of British Muslims in their daily lives. But the aggressive chanting below is intimidatory and threatening. And it’s an offence under Section 4 and 5 of the Public Order Act. Extremists routinely abuse common expressions for their own shameful ends. All violence must end. All violence must be called out.

@DAaronovitch Why wasn’t any other religion parodied in the opening ceremony? You miss the real issue I’m all for parody’s but let’s do it to each and everything not be selective for fear of riots

Oh dear. Everyone has to take offence it seems. The Last Supper as depicted by Leonardo is one of the most famous images in the Western world and has been pastiched, parodied and altered tens of thousands of times. Probably most savagely in Bunuel’s Viridiana. So maybe down off your high altar?
Rev Daniel French@holydisrupter

This is excellent @JustinWelby time to match Bishop Barron’s statement The opening Olympic ceremony mocked Christianity and the Last Supper in a way it never would have for any other religion.

5 years ago I found a turd in my freezer. One of my so called friends must have laid it while we were round mine getting hammered and playing Fifa. I've been on a Columbo like detective hunt ever since. Determined to discover the culprit and get revenge has been all consuming.
