300 paid Substack subscribers at $10/month would be a cool milestone to hit. $3k/month on Substack? Quite an achievement! But Substack giveth you a platform, and Substack taketh away. So after rewarding myself once, I wouldn’t put that $3k toward living expenses. I’d move my subs to an off-platform email list, in parallel to Substack. I’d treat that $3k as “cherry on top” to: 1. Invest in my off-platform business (ads, delegation, software, etc.) 2. Save in an “FU” fund (way more than 6 months of emergency savings) Continue building my investments/retirement accounts So if one day, the ban hammer cometh… 1. My business earns enough to cover that $3k/month loss 2. My savings/investments offer far more financial cushion Yes. Try to boost your income on the platform. More income can't hurt. But don’t become platform-dependent. Treat them like rented spaces. (Same goes for Twitter).

@madefordominion @TimelessTrvlr I'm also a former Michigander and I agree! The Upper Peninsula is also great - especially for people who love the outdoors. One of the most BEAUTIFUL parts of the country, in my opinion

What place have you visited that actually lived up to the hype?

@CoachThisath Yep! It's pretty good for "creators" (that's who it markets itself toward). Pretty easy to find your way around the software, build basic automated sequences, create tags and segments, etc.

First time eating at this local deli and in the bottom of my bag, next to the pickle, was this discount. Genius for a few reasons. - expires in 7 days so you have urgency to come back and also giving them a nice LTV boost and chopping down the repeat purchase time between orders - pretty solid deal for the customer ($10 off orders $30 or more) which pumps up the AOV and also makes it so you need to order for two or more people - so potential new customer acquisition if they like the food - pushing people to use their site which has a loyalty program to keep them coming back. They even got my phone number at checkout so they can text me offers. Always be retaining

@bradimirputin That's amazing. A bigger issue I have is that the brands target Facebook ads by IP address, so once I start with a new client, everyone in the house starts seeing the same brand ad.
