The Return of the King – Homeward Bound scene is actually quite different in the book. This section depicts The Scouring of the Shire, a very tragic and epic part of the story that completes the Hobbits’ character development. In fact, according to many Tolkien fans, it is one of the most important sections of the LOTR book. However, Peter Jackson deliberately chose not to include The Scouring of the Shire in the film. He believed that shifting to a new, local conflict right after the epic climax of the Ring’s destruction would disrupt the film’s pacing and disappoint the audience, and instead he included the Homeward Bound sequence, which creates a happy ending. So, do you think Peter Jackson was right to make this change?

Beware the empathy exploit. Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow). For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.

Oh how my heart is enjoying this absolute meltdown from the usual suspects. The sheer outrage over Lords of the Fallen 2 provocative female armour is pure music to my ears. I'm so proud of you @lotfgame! We need MORE! We need Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo inspired armour sets! I'm 100 percent buying the game. Because I am a real gamer who actually spends money on games, not like the activists demanding censorship and inclusion who never spend a penny on a game like Liam Croft.
