@poeticliessense If Gyanesh does not deliver Bengal at the feet of his political masters tomorrow, the stage will be set for a Gyanesh visarjan.

Here's what I think will happen. There is no way in hell the powers that be will let Rahul Gandhi win anywhere. In fact, he has to ideally lose everywhere by huge margins. That is priority no. 1. They cannot let him get more powerful. He makes them very uncomfortable. Priority 2 will be to win Bengal. TMC is the only other powerful and vocal opponent left. So they will do whatever it takes to ensure Didi loses. As we know, they already have done enough. DMK is the only one that might be allowed to win. Or Vijay. Only because it will look terrible if the opposition loses everywhere. I hope I am completely wrong.

I usually avoid responding to singular tweets, but this one from the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs cannot be ignored. It is the right of every opposition party, in fact every citizen to question all the arms of government. Calling it an attack on democracy is against the very grain of democracy. This idea propagated by the present government that the entire opposition is a negative force is the real threat to democracy.

All opposition parties have attacked the Govt. Agencies, EVMs, Election Commission, Media & now targeting the Judiciary. They don't realise that they are attacking the core of Indian democracy. Wait, People of India will give them a befitting reply, teach lifetime lesson!

Wow. @BJP4Maharashtra having a victory rally in Mumbai on Monday to “celebrate” an election result in West Bengal. How are they confident of winning even before counting begins?
Have permissions been secured for this rally? What is the route for this rally, @MumbaiPolice @MTPHereToHelp? Doesn’t the High Court order on processions being restricted to Azad Maidan apply here? Or do we want a repeat of Nari Shakti Vandanam Jan Akrosh drama in Nariman Point?
“Subject: Invitation to Victory Rally – 04.05.2026 (Monday) at 12:30.
Dear Sir/Madam,

No one failed India like the Indian Judiciary did.
No not, Modi, not Shah, Adani, Ambani, Gyanesh or Media.
The reason why 80 lac voters couldn't exercise their franchise in the just concluded Bengal polls, who do you think allowed this to happen?
The Supreme Court is taking the nation to HELLHOLE.
This is the real truth behind India’s Greatest Fall.
Shame.

Sunday musing: A friend raises a good point: why do we need 4 days @ECISVEEP after final voting for counting to begin? Think about Kerala and Assam: EVMs have been kept in strong rooms for almost 4 weeks. Doesn’t happen in any other part of the world.
