I've been relatively quiet about this... My short story "Primary Source" is being published in the Splinter Press Anthology, "Earth-ish". This is an awesome collection of speculative short stories, poetry, and art by established and emerging voices.

Since '21, I've written 3 MG books- non are pub'd. It's difficult to set goals in this industry when a lot of it has absolutely nothing to do with your amount of effort, love, sweat, and tears. But I keep writing, and I hope that one day you will be able to read my stories. ✍️💞

If y'all decide to make Zutara canon I will not only watch this series but I will watch it SO MUCH that the analytics people will grow concerned about my living conditions ZUTARA IS MY EFFING ROMAN EMPIRE FOR WELL OVER A DECADE NOW

Update #amquerying writers: I am expecting a baby girl in early March and will be closing queries for a couple of months while I'm out on maternity leave. I'll close March 1st and reopen May 1st. So please feel free to submit to me up until 3/1 or when I reopen in May!

@roninmercllc I'm curious, how could you know they were totally unopened? I know agents take a while, and I believe the statement, but you say it like you had evidence that they weren't even opening the queries.

most of the time my query just sat UNOPENED in their inbox for months. On average 8-9 months. These same agents would like my Pitches during events, WHILE MY QUERY WAS ALREADY SITTING IN THEIR INBOX. That is until 2023 when things changed, and publishers started coming to me. /8

Oh this one is fun, so here is the long back story of Midnight Falls. 🧵 The original draft was written around 2010, but that draft was lost when my laptop crashed. I lost about four-ish manuscripts at the time and was pretty upset about it. /1
