Announcing Sequence Fest - an upcoming group exhibition exploring works of plotter art in motion. The idea of making frame-by-frame animations with my plotter has been an ongoing obsession bc of the imperfection, quirks, and texture imbued in the result.

The original statue I scanned at @brooklynmuseum in 2012. One of my favorite little statues in the museum.

If you’ve been around fxhash, you’ve been graced by @VolatileMoods. His (21st) series is here: ‘Rayincarnations’ Wildly abstract, razor refined line-work. Compartments lock into an unreadable map. Ink blocks meet open space, resolving into tiny machine glyphs. January 28. 🤍

#Genuary Day 11: Quine. A program that when run, writes it’s own program. Definitely a palindrome style code approach. I used the font created earlier this month with snake text to render this. If you create this program it will write itself out in svg format without text. I didn’t find this visually compelling so I didn’t plot it, but it was a pain in the butt to create so here it is.

#Genuary Day 12: Boxes Only!I added a voxel mode to my STL2SVG program. Here’s the Stanford Bunny “voxelized” with strong minecraft vibes. I set it up so that I can color it with parallel pens. Images are of the STL file, Voxelized STL File, SVG Drawing File, and an animated GIF because now I just build in a gif exporter into everything I can. Posting this early because I'll be AFK (Away From Keyboard) tomorrow.

#Genuary Day 13: Self Portrait. I created an image composite tool to layer lots of photos on top of photos. This photo was taken a long time ago for an Inc Magazine Article and I use it as a demo file when I am trying to make programs that make portraits which took up a bunch of 2025. I decided to figure out a way to composite all the photo derivatives I’ve made of this image into a video and a overlay. My auto eye finding program was crappy so I built a manual eye finding process to fix all the mistakes my automatic eye finder made. Adding a gif of all the photos in sequence because now I add a gif creator to everything I can.

#Genuary Day 10. Polar Coordinates. Inspired by Vincent Pidone and James Nolan Gandy, I made a rotary moiré pattern maker. I'm AFP (Away From Plotter) so here is the digital version. The idea here is cyan, magenta and yellow are all set up in alternating concentric rings and then the black set of rings is very slightly oval creating a rotary moiré effect.
