WordPress Mirror Update: 10+ highly experienced contributors, from core contributors to hosting companies to plugin/theme developers to agencies, professors and more, working on everything from governance to sustainability. We're hopeful to be deployed to @Cloudflare by end of the weekend, the mirror itself is complete totaling at 2.58TB. A drop in plugin allowing a WordPress installation to change its repository settings has also been developed and we're preparing to launch next week.

@ravisoni6262 No, disable wp_cron and use an actual cron from the crontab on your server. That way you have absolute control and less chance of issues due to firewalling for example.

Do you suggest using an external cron service to ensure your WP Site cron fires on the correct schedule? #WordPress

@TacoVerdo @Eurovision I'm quite upset that Joost Klein has been disqualified. While the details of "the incident" are still somewhat vague,I do think it should have been handled differently. Feels like they're maintaining different standards for the competitors. For what it's worth, Joost had my vote.
