Sad to see such a terrific writer promulgating this sort of gatekeeping. You can write at any age, and you can start writing at any age. Some people don't get the chance until later in life. Their writing is just as good. IMO.

@BWay124 @krassenstein We (White people) are missing opportunities when we only want to see stories about us. It’s cultural inbreeding and it costs us opportunities. Being able to see other stories means we may need to look past terms like “best” which is subjective anyway, and support others.

I get what you’re saying. No one should ever attack people based on race. Acting parts should go to the best actor or actress available. Disney is for sure riding the coat tails of current cultural trends, pushing as many minority rolls as possible hoping it enshrines them as some advocate. In reality they’re not. As soon as sales dip, they’ll abandon it. It’s a marketing strategy. Everything they do is disproportionate to reality by a long shot. An that’s why people currently dislike Disney. Not race imo Disney uses race to hide. They have more than a few employees who should’ve had background checks, who didn’t and were known pedophiles.

The new Snow White, played by Rachel Zegler, is NOT caucasian. The Seven Dwarfs are not all caucasian either. If you are calling to boycott Disney and Hollywood, or hoping for them to lose money because they decided to tell a make-believe story using characters that look different than the original make-believe story from 1812 (211 years ago), then you are trying to generate outrage and divide people. Disney is doing the opposite. They are making a movie that should appeal to everyone and that represents society, not some 211 year old German fairy tale. Focus on more important issues!

I’m so livid. I just watched Kevin McCarthy walk into one of Washington D.C’s fanciest restaurants with his secret service and his entourage to enjoy his dinner. No I’m not saying where. At the same exact time McCarthy and Republicans are holding our entire country’s economy hostage. Any why? Why the fuck are they doing it? So they can force extreme cuts to the part of the budget that funds nutrition for newborns and pregnant moms, cancer research, and grants for clean drinking water. It’s not McCarthy who would suffer in a debt crisis and it’s not his rich buddies either. It would be YOU. It would be everyone who relies on Social Security to pay rent and afford food. Just those disruptions alone would have enormous economic and health consequences over time. To Republicans, what the fuck are you doing? Why aren’t you screaming for them to stop this terrorist bullshit? Do you not realize this would affect you too? In the meantime, Kevin McCarthy will be on the finest restaurants on your dime. Enjoy your fucking meal, asshole.

Wow. Jon Stewart just went on Newsmax and completely slammed Republicans for slashing veterans benefits in their budget proposal, saying “Republicans don’t support the troops, they support the war machine.” We need more of this & people like Jon Stewart.
