Unless you are a general purpose chat or a discovery based product, it’s so lazy to slap on a chat UI & make your users tell you what they need every time they login. This is just product/design teams wanting to participate in chat bot hype. User empathy is not a thing anymore

notice something? Linear, PostHog, Attio - all shipped the same thing in the last few weeks. Homepage is a chat bar - not a dashboard. This is the SaaS industry quietly admitting that traditional UI doesn't work anymore. Every user is different. One homepage can't serve them all. The playbook is shifting: → expose your core APIs → connect an agentic layer → let users use software the way they want SaaS became chat. Chat will become Generative UI - the agent won't just reply in text, it will compose the interface itself. We're closer than people think.

If I really thought about it— I have a classical music background, and a DotA background. I was 6 years into my dev career before I had logged more hours programming than either of those things.
A lot of how I practice teamwork, leadership, getting results, etc. comes from those activities (both done at an unreasonably serious level)

- Create an issue for the design team to improve this UI
