Got some basic assets done and almost done with a simple onboarding screen I may actually be able to submit this app tomorrow 👀 (Splash screen looks weird because it loads so quickly lol)

@Baconbrix Yeah I feel that. My other apps use GitLab CI with fastlane and I swear if I look at the scripts the wrong way it breaks lol

@brianmmdev I recommend using your own infra (eas build —local) then EAS (eas build) when you start getting traction. Unlike pretty much all CI, remote Xcode is incredibly fragile and hard to get right. Local builds can get you far!

Between debugging and deploying a react native app, it feels like building something on hard mode. I started this project thinking web first, ship to mobile later. I don’t think that was the right choice. In the next app I’m gonna get the deployment pipeline working before building anything to minimize issues on this front.

Last year I made a video showing you how to access logs on a physical iPhone to debug @expo apps Last night I just asked @cursor_ai to do it for me. What a time to be building...

Today is a special day @dubdotco: We've achieved negative lifetime burn 🥳 This means we now have more cash in the bank than we've raised from investors. It's the third milestone for building an efficient startup: 1. Default alive (re: paulg essay) 2. Profitability 3. Negative lifetime burn And it gives us the freedom to build the best possible product + serve our customers long-term – without the constant pressure of having to raise more capital. Proud to follow in the footsteps of great cos like @linear, @gammaapp and @fillout 💪 And most importantly, I'm immensely grateful to our team and customers for getting us here – excited to keep growing with you all!

@brianmmdev For what exactly? I use codex with playwriter for shopping. It's ok. I think it gives safer advice than claude. OCR extraction is also fine. Gemini is better for image gen editing (if you try like 20 times). All of them are bad at writing.

Seems like Codex is the thing everyone is raving about, but how does ChatGPT compare to Claude for non coding work?

If you launch an app and it crashes instantly on iOS you have two options: - If deployed to prod: Install Expo MCP and ask it to fix the issue—this’ll fetch the crashes, triage, and fix (completely free btw) - If local: run ‘bunx xcobra crash latest’ to print the error and pass it to an agent.

@Baconbrix It’s mostly self inflicted because I try to run my pipelines on my own runner. Did not know about that command tho and I’m gonna give it a shot when I get far enough along! Sentry is a good call too

@brianmmdev Sorry it’s not going as expected. Deployment with ‘npx testflight’ works really well imo, open to feedback if there’s something we can improve. I recommend installing sentry for production debugging regardless of the mobile framework.
