Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

I installed your app, it’s pretty slick! I’m actually building an iOS app with a central character too; I’m using Rive but I am completely stuck on the workflow. I’m trying to figure out how to build a custom onboarding character creator (swapping between a boy/girl character and so on) and then pass that choice into the main app to trigger focus-session animations (like jumping when a session finishes). Do you have any advice on how I can build this..?

I fixed Bengaluru and TRAFFIC in 30 minutes. Meet RASTHE: Tinder for Footpaths A crowdsourced platform where you can: • Report broken / missing footpaths directly to BBMP • Swipe footpaths like Tinder • Upvote the worst spots that need urgent fixing • Turn every citizen into a sensor for the city If roads are built for cars, this is built for people. prevents pedestrians from walking on roads reducing congestion Built and ready to submit to AppStore using @10x_apps in 30minutes only

“If you have a great idea, just apply" Following your advice, I'm applying to be an intern. I'm a full-stack dev deep-diving into neural networks, and I'd love to help ParasmaAI train those brain cells. Let me know if you're open to bringing someone on. (Huge congrats on YC S26 btw Sean)

So I opened this site and their design features really grabbed my attention. They have a custom cat cursor with tiny sparkles when you click and a running cat animation at the bottom. I learned something new about implementing these effects: - The Cat Pointer: The default cursor is hidden via CSS (cursor: none). Then, a JS mousemove event listener constantly grabs the mouse coordinates (e.clientX, e.clientY) and applies them to an absolute-positioned
of the cat. The secret sauce is pointer-events: none in CSS; without it, the cat image would block your mouse and you wouldn't be able to click any buttons on the page! - The Click Sparkles: A click listener triggers a function that programmatically generates new elements exactly at the click coordinates. It applies a random X/Y velocity vector to each span, letting a CSS @keyframes animation handle the explosive scattering and fade-out. A quick JS setTimeout deletes them so the DOM doesn't clog up. - The Running Cat: It uses a single "sprite sheet" image containing all movement frames. CSS steps through the background positions to create the illusion of running, while JS updates its horizontal pixel position until it triggers an idle state.

THIS GUY VIBE CODED A WEBSITE WHERE ANYONE ON THE INTERNET CAN FEED HIS CAT you go to the site, press a button, and his cat's automatic feeder dispenses food in real time there's a live camera so you can watch the cat walk up and eat what you just gave it and it's not just his cat. other cat owners can connect their feeders too so you can feed random cats around the world from your browser he's also adding computer vision to detect when a cat is actually near the feeder so only videos with cats in them get shown at the top a weight scale and cat recognition is also being added for a "greed leaderboard" tracking which cat eats the most completely useless, zero business model, and no monetization strategy and yet this is the kind of weird internet project that goes viral overnight because everyone immediately gets it and wants to try it (including me)

@rossium bonus fun fact: > flip a fair coin 99 times. > probability of more heads than tails? the solution to this would be 50% a perfect tie is physically impossible with an odd number!

the answer is ~46% there were a few people who actually explained the logic behind it and answered correctly P(more heads) = P(more tails) by symmetry. but P(heads = tails) ≈ 8% in 100 flips so: (100% - 8%) / 2 = 46% this question doesn't test if you know the answer. it tests the way you think

This question is asked at Citadel for $650k/year roles with 0.1% acceptance: > You flip a fair coin 100 times. > Probability of more heads than tails? if you answered 50%, congrats. you just failed. drop your answer below. I'll reply to the right ones.

let me explain this intuitively: if you flip a coin 100 times, there are only 3 possible outcomes: more heads, more tails, or a perfect tie since the coin is completely fair, morr heads and more tails are exact mirror images, they’ll evenly split whatever percentage is left over after we calculate and subtract that pesky tie! with 2^{100} total unique paths the coin can take, a tie requires the specific "100 choose 50" combinations probablity = ways to get 50 heads / total possible sequences = “100 choose 50” / 2^100 = ~8% strip that 8% tie from the 100% total, and you're left with 92%, split it evenly between the two mirrors, and BOOM: 46% chance of more heads!
