It sounds like you want the people who took all the risks with their money to earn the same as those who chose to work for them.

Billionaires don’t have bank accounts like you and me. They have art collections,Yachts,Mansions,Stocks. None of it gets taxed until they sell it. So they just never sell it. They borrow against it instead. Live off the loans. Pay almost nothing. Then when they die, their kids inherit it all tax-free. The wealth never gets taxed, It just gets passed down. And we wonder why the gap keeps getting wider.

You only have limited options of where to work. Employers still have ethical obligations, even if they don't have legal ones.

If the tax rate was 90%, would you rather keep 10% or give your worker 100% and gain loyalty?

The wealthy didn't pay those ridiculously high rates even when they were the law. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Lower tax rates cause poverty? As if poverty is caused by a lack of redistribution of what someone else earned? The cause of poverty has a few different factors, but not enough handouts isn't one of them. In simple terms, it looks like you're trying to convince me that if my neighbor gets a raise, it makes me poorer. Providing that doesn't increase everyone's rent, his good fortune doesn't affect me one bit. Feel free to correct me if I misunderstood. You're obviously too brilliant for me. 😉

The tax rate for the wealthy has been dropping for the last 60+ years. This vertical migration of wealth is unethical, causing unnecessary poverty.
