I will be pushing for a moratorium on the construction of data centers that are powering the unregulated sprint to develop & deploy AI. The moratorium will give democracy a chance to catch up, and ensure that the benefits of technology work for all of us, not just the 1%.

@ByNateTaylor Mahomes needs to let go of the ball sooner. He is the only QB that has to consistently to hero moves. It's impossible to continuously make that play

BREAKING NEWS: @OpenAI built a browser. It launches today and it's amazing. We got our hands on it today @Every for early testing and here's our vibe check: • ChatGPT built INTO the browser, not bolted on—it’s a sidebar on any webpage that can do read and write in any text field you have open • It’s an agent that execute multi-step tasks autonomously (booking movie tickets, shopping for Bibles, drafting emails with calendar conflicts) • It has a memory system tracks where you browse and what you do—surfaces suggestions based on your context • Available TODAY for Plus, Pro, AND Free tier users (MacOS only now, Windows/mobile coming) • The closest comp is @diabrowser, but Atlas ships with agent mode that Dia hasn't launched yet @OpenAI is clearly going for a full consumer play here. In our testing, Atlas feels less like learning something new than a browser that has caught up to how I already want to work with AI. The AI browser wars are heating up.

@levie Ray Dalio says that we're moving to a new world order. His theory is kind of scary, (Rhyme not intended.) If you don't want to read his book, here's an overview. youtube.com/watch?v=WeKu1D… Make me feel better and explain why he can't be right.

@levie And during that time? Record job losses, kids whose parents can't afford healthy fóod, isolating ourselves from the rest of the world? We can't do one at the expense of the other. Do no evil.

America needs manufacturing. You do that by enabling the private sector with lower regs, more labor, trade schools, foreign investment deals, and tax incentives. It takes time. The best way to do this is building on our tailwinds, not adding new headwinds to navigate.

@levie @akramsrazor We have much bigger problems than AI right now. Let's apply the best minds in our country to them for a bit.

@akramsrazor It’s not even a fear. It’s just a practical reality of how automation works. We automate something and then move onto the next thing and do the work surrounding that thing we automated. I’ve seen no evidence AI on any trajectory we’re currently on changes that.

AI causes an increase in efficiency in many service categories, which will lead to more demand of those services over time. Counterintuitively, this means more jobs and businesses in many spaces, not less.
TBPN@tbpn

We asked @levie to explain the AI Jevons paradox. Jevons paradox is the idea that as technology improves resource efficiency, the consumption of that resource may actually increase, not decrease. It's been cited as a reason why energy-efficient cars fail to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels, and why more highway lanes fail to solve traffic congestion. Here's Aaron's full response. We recommend a watch if you are interested in economics, markets and AI.

@SportsGrid @SICscore @ProFootballDoc Does the medical profession truly believe that "things come in threes" (in this case the three being individual Chief's players in 3 seperate games)? I'd like to see the science to prove that.

@NFLonCBS @tracywolfson Agreed. Mahomes responsible for the poor play Pacheco and Carson won the game. The big guy and Kelce did well too.
