The honest to god reason there is so much evil in the world is that quite frankly, on average, evil people have their shit together

the greatest trick sequoia ever pulled was convincing founders that the two year gs tmt analyst is who you need to help build a company

this has to do with how we organize our team. half the team builds primitives: sandboxes, memory, code execution subagents, security scanning, etc. the other half owns evals + hillclimbing. they combine those primitives into agents, iterate, a/b test, and push the primitives teams to make them better. centralizing the hillclimbing effort is important because distributed hillclimbing invariably leads to regression. conway’s law!

Excited to announce @meetarc's $10.76M seed, led by @a16z! Arc brings quick service restaurants into the AI era, starting with drive-thru voice agents. Founders @maclennanm + @alihussaincs shipped products for the real world at Block - and Arc is live serving customers 👇

@khaslett basically there is this weird cottage industry of wannabe-fixers, mostly attorneys, who say they can get your pardon application 'to the right people'.
