@brokenbarpublic This is completely bizarre. Why would long Covid patients be excluded from long COVID cohort when you are trying to see if long COVID patients exhibit a specific immune profiling.

Weren’t people just complaining about PEM being used but not defined properly, and also that the use of PEM in LC research was watering it down or something?

@JackHadfield14 Amen! Thank you, it’s so annoying how this is making the rounds with zero reflection on the missing subgrouping. Not using PEM as an inclusion criteria means you’ve got maybe 20-30% ME patients in the LC cohort. Apples to oranges 🍊

This is what happened to pwLC. #LongCovid patients have been left not just by wayside as Fauci said but left for dead. The people who disbelieved us, lied about us and to us and continue to do so, the people who committed criminal conflation have blood on their hands. Families, friends, researchers, doctors, government, public health - blood on their hands. Sounds bad, right? Yeah, it is bad. /fin

This is deeply disingenuous as it there has been zero nuance to date going on year 7.
The concerted efforts by ME orgs and advocates to conflate had been an ongoing catastrophic narrative.
That’s the real flaw here.
All messaging has been nothing new, long Covid is ME.

This study is deeply flawed for one main reason. The question has never been whether all Long COVID is ME, just as all post-flu issues are not ME. It’s whether Long COVID patients with PEM and other ME-dominant symptoms are similar to ME. This study does not answer that.

Bought the ebike last September 2025 and just made 1000 miles on the odometer.

I was told to stop. Stop asking why. Stop questioning when important parts of studying this disease are being left out. I will not. I will try to remain compassionate and not hurtful in a personal way. But no I cannot stop because I am trying to survive this. I cannot unread what I have read I cannot unsee my reflection. I cannot un-experience what I have experienced. My family is depending on me. Watching Polybio today I realize I am not far off. Hopefully some tests and treatments are around the corner. I will keep talking about it until the breath leaves my body.
