What the FUCK are we doing! My son will NEVER die for a foreign country! I voted for you 3 times, took abuse and fought for you and this is what you do! You do the exact opposite of what you railed against for over a decade!

Tamatha Paul defending her letter of support to a judge for a graffiti vandal/artist who caused an estimated seven figures’ worth of damage - including to Wellington City Council buildings while she was a councillor, is already wild. But commissioning the same person to tag her campaign poster with his signature graffiti and proudly displaying it in her parliamentary office? That’s a massive “F you” to Wellington ratepayers, city councillors, and residents who visit her office.

When will the “aotearoa” folk realise this is not what the majority of NZers want? They keep pushing this and keep getting the same answer.

The United States and New Zealand are reaching new heights together At the second U.S. - New Zealand Space Dialogue in Washington, both countries reaffirmed our strong partnership across space security, science, and commercial innovation. From launch capabilities to joint research with NASA and growing commercial ties, our cooperation continues to deliver real benefits for both countries - advancing shared prosperity, strengthening security, and supporting the responsible use of space. Almost every week I receive emails from New Zealanders asking why some government agencies are still using te reo ahead of English. The English-first policy is not one of ACT’s coalition commitments, but I decided to look into it. In fact, the Government’s main public-facing webpage, govt.nz, still uses ‘Te Kāwanatanga o Aotearoa’ ahead of ‘New Zealand Government’. This is the Public Service Commission’s official branding for the Government. The Public Service Commission sets guidelines for branding across government, so it’s no wonder many agencies are lagging.

Stuff reporting on allegations from the ex of Chris Hipkins about the politician but “couldn’t repeat the claims” is yet another example of the media’s absolute inability to inform the public without bias. Great idea to have a reporter on standby just to say “we can’t tell you”

There seems to be a rumour doing the rounds that I’m somehow “pulling strings” behind the scenes in relation to Jade’s Facebook post. I'm not. Jade is a friend of mine and has been for several years, before she and Chris separated. I have known about many of the personal difficulties she went through for a long time, but because she is a friend, I have always felt those experiences were hers to speak about (or not speak about) as she chose. I did not know she intended to make that post until it appeared online, and I had no involvement in media obtaining screenshots of it. In fact, I have previously cautioned her about how brutal the media environment can be when private matters become public, and about the toll that can take on women in particular. It is not something I wanted to see a friend go through. The idea that I somehow orchestrated this is simply wrong and conspiratorial. As any friend would, I obviously have my opinions, but given the extraordinary leaps that are being made now I wish I hadn't commented at all. Yes, I write about politics and comment on it publicly. I have done so for years. But there seems to be a strange assumption that anyone who has political opinions must therefore be acting as some kind of shadowy operative, pulling levers behind the scenes. I have absolutely no interest in that kind of role. I’m a writer and commentator. An observer. I analyse politics, I criticise politicians when I think it’s warranted, and I defend people when I think they are being unfairly attacked. Jade is well connected and would have people more qualified than me to give her political advice. But in any case, my understanding of the situation is that Jade is simply fed up and posted. I'll leave it at that other than to request that people take a deep breath and try to have some empathy and understanding for Jade.

I’ve been sitting on some of these allegations about Hipkins for quite some time, and there’s more from a close source which I won't disclose just yet. You know who you are. I had already drafted a piece that I was planning to publish closer to the election. I still will, because people deserve to know who Hipkins really is. Allegations have landed in my inbox about a child support battle. I can’t go into too much detail, but it seems old mate might be more concerned about saving money than his own kids. This is the same bloke who allegedly had an affair with his intern. The media scream from the rooftops about Jevon McSkimming having an affair with a younger woman, but when it comes to the former Prime Minister they suddenly look the other way. Then again, Labour kept them well fed spreading their propaganda. If you vote Labour, you’re voting for a bloke who, by these allegations, puts saving money ahead of his own children. A man who he allegedly made his miscarrying wife drive herself home. A politician who refused to front the COVID inquiry. A man whose relationship with the truth is, at best, flexible. Time to resign and suck the sausage, Hipkins.
