@CBoxTrace Ur given 6 outs to get there. That's minimum 15 minutes to get where you need to be. Most stadium in baseball you couple do 2-3 laps around the entire concourse in that time. They had plenty of time to get there, just they slow.

At my local McDonald's they don't have a cashier because they want everyone using the touch screen terminals or app. Yesterday, a Gen X guy came up. "I just wanna order a black coffee." The McDonald's girl is up to her ears in drive-thru orders, but she sighs and comes over. "Okay, I can ring you up." "YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE DOING. They're trying to replace you, automate your jobs. That's why I won't use the screen. I'm trying to help you." "Okay sir." She gives him the coffee.

He scored their marriage a 6 out of 10. She didn't argue. She didn't get angry. He said: "Six." She didn't get offended. Didn't ask "why not 10." Didn't leave the room. Didn't throw a tantrum. She asked: "What does a 10 look like?"

Once as a grad student I helped a professor set up a trade booth for the Society of Architectural Historians at a convention. It took 15 min. No biggie. Then a union rep came over and chewed us out, told us we weren't allowed to do that, and demanded we take it all down. We did. Then we waited for hours until a union guy from the carpenter's union could put it up. He finally came over, and even though we were trying to tell him how to do it, he was absolutely incompetent and it took forever. We eventually gave up and just let him do it. Finally it was up but was threatening to fall over it was done so badly. So we waited for him to leave, took it all down and put it up AGAIN so it was right and safe. Unions are a racket.

Who can honestly say they never had a DUI ✋ i'll wait

You’re in high school in the 70s/80s what’s your choice of beer? 🍺

Jeff Bezos: “I once asked Warren Buffett, why don’t more people copy your investment strategy? It’s not that difficult to understand in principle. And he said, ‘Oh, Jeff, that’s easy. My approach is a get-rich-slowly scheme.’ And people don’t like those.” “If you can think in terms of seven years instead of three years, and you can defer gratification and think long term, that will give you a head start against all of your competitors, because most people can’t do that.”

Stephen Colbert may have said goodbye to late night, but he wasn’t leaving quietly 💃🏻🕺After wrapping his final episode of The Late Show, the host, 62, hit the dance floor at his “Fired & Festive!” afterparty in NYC - and when wife Evie came out to join him, the celebration was even sweeter ❤️ 📽️: gayleking #stephencolbert

Truly remarkable statement from the guy with $276 billion who paid a true tax rate of .98% in 2019. My ROBINHOOD Act would tax the loans @JeffBezos and his billionaire buddies borrow against their stock to avoid taxes altogether. It would generate $30 billion a year — more than enough to fund universal childcare for “that teacher in Queens” and parents across the country.

Jeff Bezos on CNBC: "If people want me to pay more billions, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend that that's gonna solve the problem. You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens.... Airbnb isn't causing high rents. What's really causing high rent is government intervention."

Jeff Bezos explains to @AOC how billionaires are created: providing at least a billion dollars in value to society -- the opposite of exploitation. Bezos: "Let me give you a simple example. Let’s say you start a burger joint, and you have 10 employees, and you make a little bit of money.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “Until you have — this is — this just one — one outlet. And by the way, these are the most delicious burgers in the world. People love your burgers, Andrew. And so then, you open a second outlet —” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “— and now you’re making a little bit more money, and you have 20 employees. Nd you open a third outlet. By the time you’ve opened a thousand outlets, you are a billionaire.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And by the way, this is a real life story, it happens all the time, it’s In-N-Out Burger, it’s Raising Cane’s Chicken. At what point did that money all of a sudden become unethical, or it didn’t? There was one outlet, and then there were two, and then there were three. What you’re doing — the way — the way you make a billion dollars, or a hundred million dollars, or 10 million dollars, or anything, is you create a service that people love. And if millions of people choose your service, you’re going to end up with a billion dollars.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And you can, you know, just try it with a chicken franchise.” SORKIN: “Do you think though —” Bezos: “But your chicken has to be good.”

This man finds it extremely aggravating when you are in a left hand turn lane and the car in front stops at the white line. He says you pull into the middle of the intersection and take control of the intersection and wait there. If oncoming traffic doesn’t let up, you turn as the light is about to turn red and oncoming traffic stops. Many said that defensive driving classes tell you to stay behind the white line until you can make a turn and have a safe exit and this causes accidents. He says that any CDL class will tell you to take control of the intersection and pull up to the middle of it, that way everyone isn’t waiting three rotations to get through the light. What do you do? How do you drive? Do you stay behind the white line or do you pull into the intersection?

COULD YOU SURVIVE ON $174,000 A YEAR? Mike Johnson says Congress can't survive on their salary because of inflation, and he used that excuse to justify letting members trade stocks. Your Thoughts?
