On a technical level this is exceptional. The camerawork & editing are flawless, where you can follow every move. Writing-wise it's pure crap, since before this Batman has his "What a monster I've become" arc moment, and then he's like "Still need to kill a couple guys though".

@Danimalish It’s so spoon-feedy. This moment also would have been more impactful had it made Superman more of a character to get behind. The movie doesn’t even feel like it’s Superman’s movie, it has a bunch of characters and he gets his ass kicked 90 percent of the time.

Yes, this is corny. Yes, this could have been more eloquently written. However, I love the intentionality behind this moment. It’s overflowing with empathy and compassion. So, I like it, even if it isn’t perfect. Which encapsulates my feelings on the film in general.

SUPERMAN opens with a beautiful landscape view that takes its time to settle in along with some establishing text crawls. FANTASTIC 4 opens with a quick view of the Baxter Building and that's it. This is part of what separates these two movies for me. The artistry.
