The music has not stopped. Standard summer chop. The demand for the hardware to power the AI revolution is only growing. The next leg up will begin when we least expect it and wool move very fast.

@Linahuaa @ns123abc So 1. Something 2. Something 3. Profit? We'll see what happens. As far as I can tell, competition is good. Competition is the is the only thing that will allow GenPop to participate in the greatest wealth transfer in human history.

@bryanwaldo @ns123abc They're building EUVs within 2 years too. Then close the chip gap and then overtake American AI, which they already keep up with having to use Nintendo and toaster chips.

So what are we calling this? When the software stocks crashed, we called it the SaaS apocalypse. Is this the "chip wreck"?

@ehu_ehu @nytimes @TheAthletic I am not criticizing Tadej at all. It's quite possible you're right. If we have learned anything over the last 20 years what Lance says in public& what he really thinks are 2 very different things. My point is only critical of the TDF and not the riders.

@bryanwaldo @nytimes @TheAthletic So they’ve all admitted to taking or have tested positive for performance enhancing drugs while competing in the Tour de France?

@MaryEllenPeter1 @nytimes @TheAthletic Lol just like the rest of the peloton. He competed on an equal playing field. Riders have been using one substance or another for 100 years to complete that race.

@bryanwaldo @nytimes @TheAthletic In 2013 Lance Armstrong publicly admitted to using banned substances during all 7 of his Tour de France victories from 1999-2005. He’s certainly not the GOAT.

Yes @LeTour @TamauPogi deserves all his accolades for winning Tour de France #5 (he could get 6, 7, or more). It is also time to rethink the (understandable at the time) decision to strip @lancearmstrong of his 7 titles & reinstate the legit winner of Tours 1999-2005. The lacuna in your records for those years is ridiculous, given what we all now know was going on. Rationale: Why has no one claimed those 7 yellow jerseys? Because they were all doping as well. Every one of the podium finishers for all 7 years have admitted to doping: Ullrich, Zülle, Beloki, Basso, Klöden, Vinokourov. And Marco Pantani—the greatest climber of his era & one of Lance's chief rivals—was a notorious doper who died from a drug overdose. We estimate 90% of cyclists were doping. When an entire sport shifts norms, when rules are not (or cannot be) enforced, when in a game-theoretic model the most rational choice of most players in a game is to adapt a doping strategy, then doping reaches what is called a Nash Equilibrium, such that NOT to dope is a losing strategy. They HAD to dope just to compete (most had no chance of winning). Your punishment of Lance at the time as a public signal to others to change the norms of your race was understandable, but that assumes there were a few "bad apples" to be defenestrated, when in fact the entire apple barrel was corrupt & that's on the organizers, not the competitors. I've been in this room and seen these hard won 7 yellow jerseys. Admit that the ultimate responsibility for what the sport had become during the doping era was ultimately on the organizers, not on the athletes. Add an asterisk or parenthetical (or whatever), but claiming "but for Lance" the sport of cycling would have been clean and fair is beyond ridiculous—it's obscene. And everyone who knows this sport knows this fact. Make it right.

@ehu_ehu @nytimes @TheAthletic correct. Tadej is a great champion and will likely go down as the greatest ever. But he needs match or pass Lance to remove all doubt. But until then, he's just another member of the 5 club.

TADEJ POGACAR WAS ROBBED in daylight! 😱😡 How was he not named as the Best Teammate of this Tour?! He gave away 3 stage victories to stay with Torito and that's not enough LOL? Now he must try harder next year, I guess. 🤣 Kudos to Quinn Simmons. #TDF2026

@Pascalratinaud He broke a 30 year olf record. Today Carapaz smashed Croix de Fer record by 2 minutes over Contador. Is he doped to be smashing a record of a legend? And who says Pog was ever sick. He obviously never was.
